Here is the second single to come from Musiq Soulchild’s upcoming album, MusiqInTheMagiq, which is out on May 3rd. For me, this guy is one of the most consistently brilliant R&B/Soul singers of the past 10 years, making the sound of the 70s sound as beautiful and relevant as ever in 2011. Can’t wait for this.

The first two singles from Kelly Price’s upcoming album are both brilliant, but this new track that leaked today has something very special about it. Sounds like a 70s/80s throwback that wouldn’t sound out of place next to Luther or Earth, Wind & Fire. So much love for this.

He’s smashed every single one, but his take on one of my favourite tracks from 808s & Heartbreak is by far and away my favourite so far. This is amazing, and far more enjoyable than KanYe’s auto-tuned original.

Here is the first taster from Soul UK, which is Beverley Knight’s upcoming 8th studio album. This is a promo-only version of my favourite Soul II Soul track, Fairplay, which features an intro from Jazzie B himself. Beverley’s version adds a fierce horn section and incredibly powerful vocals that we have come to expect. The album is a personal journey, curated by Beverley and delivered with her own unique soul/gospel style, through some of her all time favorite soulful tracks by British artists. The first commercially available single is a storming take on Junior’s classic, Mama Used To Say, which is out June 27th. Smacked it.

Never been a massive fan of Rick Ross, but his features always hit the spot and I’ve always loved Estelle - together they have created an exceptional new single, which will on her 3rd album, All Of Me. As Mistajam rightly said, it reminds me of some “real golden era Bad Boy ish” - her natural evolution as an artist has been amazing to watch. You can get your copy HERE.

Here is Miss Erykah Badu’s spectacular performance from the main stage @ Coachella yesterday. She is my favourite female artist by such a long way, and this proves exactly way. Her vibrant personality always shines through when she performs. Love love love.

Earlier today we got the video for Jill Scott’s lead single from the upcoming album, The Light Of The Sun. Now she has dropped the next single, which features the flawless Anthony Hamilton, and it’s absolute perfection. Soul music at its very best. This album could be a classic.

His new album, Stone Rollin’, was released the other week and if you haven’t got yourself a copy, then you don’t know what you’re missing out on.
