Shame
Yesterday was Jill Scott’s birthday, and today we get the lead single from her upcoming album, The Light of The Sun. Featuring her fellow Philadelphia native, this is one of the best Soul tracks I’ve heard for a very long time.

Ledisi is back!! Co-written by Led, Claude Kelly, and producer Chuck Harmony, Pieces Of Me, has her singing about what it’s like to live her life and being a woman in general. She is one of my favourite female artists - you can grab your copy off iTunes tomorrow.
The new single from soul singer Kem, which features the beautiful Chrisette Michele. These are two of the best singers of the past 10 years, for me. Beautiful.
Didn’t expect to get this and Katy B’s album on the same day, but that is what has happened, and to say I’m impressed would be the understatement of the century. Stone Rollin’ takes us back to the 50s/60s and sees Raphael revisit his musical roots, creating a sound that is non-existent in this day and age. I had no idea that he was 44 until today, but I guess that explains the maturity in his music and the diversity that he has shown across all 4 solo studio albums. Including his work as Lucy Pearl, I think it’s safe to say that this man will go down as one of the greatest R&B artists to come from the 21st century. Also; I can’t explain how refreshing it is to hear a 10 track album with nothing but quality on there - this will be one of the best releases of 2011. Make sure you get your copy next month, you won’t be disappointed.
Official video for Raphael Saadiq’s lead single and the title track from the upcoming Stone Rollin’ project. This guy is too cool.
Here is the lead single from soul singer Heston’s upcoming album, Warm Human Cold World. The live instrumentation gives this track just the kick that it needs - beautiful music.
A new track from the late Teddy Pendergrass, which was recorded back in 2006. This guy was one of the best soul singers to walk the earth. Legend.
Now, I love Adele as much as anyone, but after hearing this it made me feel like the song was actually written for John Legend. I expected greatness when I saw he had covered Rolling In The Deep, but I never expected it to be this good. One of the best covers you will ever hear. I love John.
Mary Mary are an American R&B/Gospel group, who are best known for their smash hit ‘Shackles (Praise You)’, which took the world by storm at the start of the 21st Century. This is my favourite track and the lead single from their 6th studio album, Something Big, which is released next week.
One of my favourite tracks from The Weeknd’s debut mixtape, which I think took everyone by surprise - I had no idea they were releasing one any time soon. They are one of the most exciting R&B acts I’ve heard for years, and are bringing something completely unique to the scene. You can download the mixtape HERE.
