Jill Scott - Golden (Catching Flies Remix)
My man Catching Flies with a twisting and turning rework of Jill Scott's most iconic single 'Golden'. The warped vocals work in perfect harmony with Flies' production style.

After the two stunning singles that we've heard so far this year, Shame & So In Love, here are two of my favourite album tracks from Jill Scott's upcoming fourth studio release, The Light Of The Sun. The album is set to be released on June 21st and is her first LP since leaving Hidden Beach Recordings - I'm glad to say that the move hasn't affected the music. There aren't many female artists that excite me, Erykah & Beyoncé being the two main exceptions, but Miss Scott has been consistently brilliant, blessing us with real Soul music from the heart for the past 11 years. Some people think that 4 years is too long to make an album, I don't. If the music is this good, then she can take as long as she wants to make it (D'Angelo's break has been a bit too long now though) - it's much better than releasing 3 albums in 4 years and none reaching the standard of her previous work. Make sure you cop this on the 21st, it won't disappoint.
Official visuals for the 2nd single from Jill Scott's upcoming album, The Light Of The Sun, which will be available on June 27th. This is still one of my favourite tracks of the year so far - the perfect love song.
Earlier today we got the video for Jill Scott’s lead single from the upcoming album, The Light Of The Sun. Now she has dropped the next single, which features the flawless Anthony Hamilton, and it’s absolute perfection. Soul music at its very best. This album could be a classic.
Yesterday was Jill Scott’s birthday, and today we get the lead single from her upcoming album, The Light of The Sun. Featuring her fellow Philadelphia native, this is one of the best Soul tracks I’ve heard for a very long time.
The final track from what is rumoured to be Pharoahe Monch’s final album and features R&B legend Jill Scott. Hopefully these rumours turn out to be false, because this album is huge and proves exactly why so many people think so highly of him. If it is his final release, then I will miss him - he brought something completely fresh to the game and Internal Affairs will forever be a Hip-Hop classic. Go get this next week when it drops.
