Bipolar Sunshine - Drowning Butterflies (We Are The Wild Remix)

If you haven't heard of the name Bipolar Sunshine already, expect to hear lot more of it in the coming months. One of the most hotly tippped emerging artists for 2014, last week the Mancunian singer-songwriter's track 'Drowning Butterflies' reached the hands of London alt-pop duo We The Wild. The result is a stunning rework that more than does the original justice, blending Bipolar Sunshine's original vocals with a completely new electronic sound.

Bondax - Giving It All

Another track brought to my attention courtsey of Mr Tong's Radio 1 show last night and already receiving plaudits from Skream as well as many others is 'Giving It All', the latest single to surface from Future House duo Bondax. Can't get enough of these two at the moment, hard to believe they're only 19.

Kano & Ghostpoet continue to think outside the box, this time jumping on my two of favourite tracks from Jakwob's new mixtape 'The Prize'. The atmospheric and thought-provoking Dubstep sound is the level of production we have come to expect from the Lincoln-born beat maker, which provides the perfect backdrop for both MCs to showcase their incredible lyrical abilities. Bobby Womack - Please Forgive My Heart (Prod. Damon Albarn)

After seeing Bobby Womack perform in concert just before Christmas, it was clear he was not in a good way following his battle with prostate cancer, but it's amazing to hear that he has new material on the way. 'Please Forgive My Heart' is the lead single from Bob's forthcoming album 'The Bravest Man In The World', which has been co-produced by Damon Albarn & Richard Russell and will be his first LP since 'Resurrection' in 1994. There are bound to be comparsions to Gil Scott's 'I'm New Here' & 'We're New Here', but to me it sounds like the King (Godfather is already taken) of Soul has created something totally unique and fresh, which is all I would expect from one of the greatest artists to walk the planet. Raphael Saadiq x PinBoard

My boys over at PinBoard caught up with Raphael Saadiq the other day @ Red Bulls recording studio - he did an exceptional acoustic performance of Good Man, which is one of my favourite tracks of 2011. His new album, Stone Rollin’, was released the other week and if you haven’t got yourself a copy, then you don’t know what you’re missing out on.
