Ed Sheeran released a live 3 track EP called One Take this morning that was recorded at the Rocket Studios in the West End. Below you can hear a stunning new album track, UNI, and a mind blowing cover of Wayfaring Stranger, which uses the same arrangement as Jamie Woon’s cover. You can download both of them with You Need Me HERE and watch a video of him performing Wayfaring Stranger HERE. I feel so lucky to know this man - talented doesn’t even come close.
My boys over at PinBoard caught up with Raphael Saadiq the other day @ Red Bulls recording studio - he did an exceptional acoustic performance of Good Man, which is one of my favourite tracks of 2011. His new album, Stone Rollin’, was released the other week and if you haven’t got yourself a copy, then you don’t know what you’re missing out on. You can catch him over at Shepherds Bush Empire on the 28th April. Genius.
Emeli Sande performing a beautiful acoustic performance of ‘Maybe’, at Angel Studios in London. She is amazing.
Mr. David Stewart with a beautiful cover of Elvis Presley/Willie Nelson’s classic, Always On My Mind. This is amazing. You can download it, HERE.
Ed dropped into 1xtra the other day to spit a few bars on CJ Beatz’ show. Going in over Jamie Woon’s debut single and one of Biggie’s all-time classics, Mr. Sheeran proves exactly why he is > your favourite artist right now. Listen and download below.
An exclusive rendition of Ghostpoet’s debut single ‘Cash & Carry Me Home’ performed at Red Bull Studios London, for PinBoard. Taken from his new album, Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam. This is sick.
Jamie Woon covering Adele’s smash hit in preparation for the release of his debut album, Mirrorwriting. He is a beast.
Mos Def’s new single, which is produced by the legendary Madlib. BIG!!
Brought you the audio for this a while ago, but here is the full video for Pete Rock & Preemo’s DJ battle in Japan. If you have a couple of hours to spare, you should definitely watch this.
