WIN Exclusive Signed Wretch 32 Print by Urban Artist Soap

I'm very excited to bring you the first collaboration between The House Of Coxhead and Adam Klodzinzki, who is based in Bournemouth and is better known as Urban Artist Soap. Adam's main passion in life is graffiti, and he uses a special paint/technique to create scarily realistic looking images that have been blowing people away for the past couple of years. He also has a huge love for music (Hip-Hop in particular), and has been a fan of my blog for some time now, so it was only right that we got together to bring you something a little special. Over the past two years he has painted the likes of Ed Sheeran, Goldie, Mistajam and many more - over the next 6 months we have decided to do portraits of Wretch 32, Rizzle Kicks & Harry Styles (Example too, although that was painted last year), and give you the chance to win 5 exclusive signed prints of this incredible artwork.

The House Of Coxhead looking for new writers

After 20 months of basically doing this on my own, The House Of Coxhead is now looking to branch out and bring in a couple of writers to help with the daily running of the site. I recently reached 500,000 hits and that lead on to me getting the wonderful Alya Mooro on board (also writes for MTV Wrap Up & Soul Culture), who will be contributing 3 in-depth reviews a month to the site.

The House Of Coxhead: Top 100 Hip-Hop Songs of All-Time

After working on this since the turn of the new year, I am now pleased to present to you my 'Top 100 Hip-Hop Songs of All-Time'. Following the success of my yearly Top 100 lists, it was only right to do one for my favourite genre and a movement that has changed millions of people's lives over the past 30+ years. The list covers every type of sound/style that has ever been associated with Hip-Hop and is what I believe to be a perfect representation of everything that is positive about the culture that we have all come to love. As with all my lists, this is a personal opinion, and there will be songs in it that you wouldn't have in your list and songs that didn't make the cut which could well be in your Top 10. However, hopefully you will appreciate this and enjoy it as much as I enjoyed putting it together. Hip-Hop will never die...

The House Of Coxhead T-Shirt Competition

Today is a special day, The House Of Coxhead has just reached 500,000 hits, and to celebrate I'm giving away 3 t-shirts to say thank you for all your continued support! The blog was only started back in June 2010 after a few friends told me to set one up, and up until April last year it was just your average Tumblr site, but over the past 12 months it has been taken to a whole new level and given me a lifestyle that I never would have expected two years ago. There are many positive aspects that come from running the blog, but for me it's been amazing to meet some of the most talented people in the world and give something back to my pals who have given me a hell of a lot over the past few years. Over 120,000 people from 130 different countries have visited The House Of Coxhead since it first started, which for me is mind-blowing, and it's nice to know that it's being appreciated by such a wide diversity of people!

Anyway, on to the competition - here is the question:

I am the least superstitious person in the world, but I do have a lucky number, so what is it...?

Please send your full name, Twitter name and answer to tjc89209@hotmail.co.uk, with the subject 'T-Shirt Competition'. Competition closes @ 10pm on Sunday 26th February.

Good luck to everyone, and thanks again for all the support, hopefully this is just the beginning.

Big love x

Both my Top 100 Songs & Remixes of 2011 have been well received over the the past 7 days, and with my birthday and the new year approaching, I thought it would be a good idea to run a competition to give 10 people the chance to win all 200 tracks. As of December 30th 2011, how many songs are there in my iTunes? (clue: between 41,000 - 42,000)

COMPETITION CLOSED!

This is my final post of 2011, as it's my birthday tomorrow. The winners will be announced in the new year at some point (probably January 2nd) and the songs will be sent to your e-mail as soon as possible. Hope you all have a lovely new year and an even better 2012. Thanks for your support, it means more than you will ever know.

Thomas Coxhead (The House Of Coxhead) Interview w/ Will Manning

Yesterday I caught up with Will Manning for a quick phone interview for his upcoming University project, which will look at how blogs work and what they can do for people. The interview delves into how I got into blogging, how I pick the content you see, where I hope The House Of Coxhead will take me in the future and much more. Hope you all enjoy it, I'm really pleased with how it came out!
