The Milk - Lay The Pain On Me

'Lay The Pain On Me' is my favourite track from the newly released debut album from Essex-based band The Milk. Most of 'Tales from the Thames Delta' are upbeat, but the closing track sees the boys strip everything back, which provides a powerfully raw and soulful sound. Love this song, love the album and love the band. Get your copy HERE.

Nina Nesbitt's 'Boy' now available to pre-order

Following the Hostage remix getting lots of support from Radio 1 & 1Xtra over the past few weeks, the EP for the lead single from Nina Nesbitt's debut album is now available to pre-order on iTunes. The EP features the Hostage remix, along with the unheard original, an acoustic version and a demo version of an album track called 'Jessica'. Nina has described the single as "more Rock influenced" than her previous work, so it will be interesting to hear the end product. Out September 9th - pre-order HERE.

The xx - Sunset

'Sunset' is my favourite track from 'Coexist', which is the highly anticipated sophmore album by The xx and is set to be released September 10th on Young Turks. The album is once again produced entirely by Jamie Smith, and the progression in his (and the band's) style is evident from the outset, with an even more mature and thought-provoking sound than we heard on their critically acclaimed self-titled debut. Love the House vibe on this particular track - pre-order HERE.

Clement Marfo & The Frontline - Us Against The World (FIFA 13)

After the controversial goings on between Clement Marfo & The Frontline and Warner Music last week, it has this week been announced that the band's track 'Us Against The World' (which was part of the album 'leak') has been chosen to be on the soundtrack for FIFA 13. The uplifting anthem will no doubt be a standout on the soundtrack, and the inclusion on such a prestigious game is a huge compliment for any artist. Clement Marfo's music will automatically be reaching millions of new people next month.

Clement Marfo & The Frontline - Us Against The World x All My Life

A clearly irate Clement Marfo took to his Twitter account earlier today to make his feelings felt about his label (Warner Music), the delayed release of his album and everything that he and The Frontline have been through over the past few years to get to this point. After making his feelings known, the rapper then tweeted a link to a ZIP folder called 'World War III', which includes 5 (unreleased) tracks from the band's forthcoming debut album. Keep up to date on Clement's Twitter HERE, and download the ZIP HERE. Quite an interesting move, but one that wasn't overly surprising after the things that have been said on Twitter over the past few weeks. What do you think of the whole situation?

George Harris - Don't Know

'I Don't Know' is the strongest track from Chorley-based singer/songwriter George Harris' debut EP 'Junior', which is set to be released August 31st on Hey Bert Records. If you're a fan of Alternative Rock/Folk, then this is for you - an incredibly strong debut from an independent artist, who has an abundance of talent. Keep up to date with George HERE.

Ed Sheeran - Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd Cover) (Live @ Olympics Closing Ceremony)

Ed Sheeran took to the biggest stage of his life last night to perform a cover of Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' for the Olympic Closing Ceremony at Wembley. The 21 year old singer/songwriter shared the stage with Floyd's Nick Mason, Genesis' Mike Rutherford and The Feeling's Richard Jones. A lovely cover, and one of the main highlights of the night.
