'Sunset' is my favourite track from 'Coexist', which is the highly anticipated sophmore album by The xx and is set to be released September 10th on Young Turks. The album is once again produced entirely by Jamie Smith, and the progression in his (and the band's) style is evident from the outset, with an even more mature and thought-provoking sound than we heard on their critically acclaimed self-titled debut. Four Tet’s spectacular remix of VCR was released today - 9 minutes of pure genius. This guy is so under-appreciated. His back catalogue is probably the best around for his style of music. If you haven’t heard it, enjoy. If you have heard it, enjoy it again.
