Phonte - Dance In The Reign (Video)
Phontigallo gives the visual treatment to the Swiff D produced banger from his debut solo album, Charity Starts At Home. One of my favourite albums of 2011, one of my favourite artists of all-time.

2DopeBoyz today let loose this premiere off Gift Of Gab's forthcoming album, The Next Logical Progression, which is set to be released March 27th on Quannum Projects. One of the most under-rated rappers around, both as a solo artist and as 1/2 of Blackalicious. Funky.
AHHH YEAH! Here are some sick visuals for the second single from Clement Marfo & The Frontline, which is set to be released on March 12th. This is the follow up to their well-received debut single 'Overtime' - it's definitely a step in the right direction and hopefully the level of material we can expect from their forthcoming debut album. One of the most exciting acts around right now, and easily the biggest track of 2012 so far. On repeat.
Two Eric Turner posts back-to-back?! Why the hell not. Premiered tonight on Mistajam's show, here is the lead single and title track from Eric Turner's forthcoming mixtape - a man who many of you will know from Tinie Tempah's hit single 'Written In The Stars'. Having been mostly a feature artist up until now, it seems as though 2012 is the year that the American singer/songwriter is going to show us what he has to offer the world. A stellar line-up, and a massive track that will not disappoint.
Jimmy Fallon kicked off 2012 in style last night by welcoming regular visitors Yasiin Bey & Talib Kweli, better known as Black Star together, to the show. The legendary Hip-Hop duo brought us a live performance of their new Aretha Franklin-inspired single 'You Already Knew' and a web exclusive of the J Dilla produced 'Little Brother' - 'Black Star Aretha' on the way. Legends.
3x DMC Champion and Yasmin's tour spinna, DJ Cable has let loose Part 1 of his Hip-Hop round-up mix, which features some of the biggest club tracks of the year, from artists such as Drake, Nick Minaj, Kanye West & Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa, as well as newer faces such as Yelawolf, Tyler The Creator & A$AP Rocky. Hit the jump for the tracklist, download below and follow him on Twitter HERE. Better than your favourite DJ.
As Brother Ali and Jake One put the finishing touches to his upcoming new album 'Mourning In America and Dreaming In Color', the two start the year off right with a free new track titled 'Writer's Block'. One of the most consistently brilliant MCs of the past 10 years and one of the most under-rated producers around. Rhymesayers all day. Download HERE.
Kano goes in over my favourite track from Common's 'The Dreamer/The Believer' for his latest mixtape, Jack Bauer 2.4, which dropped yesterday and continues his ridiculous level of work ethic. I loved the first installment of the Jack Bauer mixtape series, and was so pleased to hear another was on the way - thankfully it didn't disappoint. Easily one of the most talented MCs the UK has ever produced and KA just keeps on spoiling us. Celebrate and download the tape HERE.
Mystro, my favourite UK MC, this morning debuted his latest UK Rap Up on BBC Radio 1Xtra, which has now become an annual event since 2009. The beat is once again produced by Mys' long-term friend/collaborator Black Einstein, and the London-born rapper touches on everything from the riots > Cher Lloyd > TOWIE, and MUCH more. Click play, appreciate the level of skill shown from one of the best lyricists out there and be on the look out for a CDQ/video coming soon. Naturally spitting.
Taken me a while to get round to listening to this, but here is my favourite track from Project Alfie's 5-track mixtape, which sees the 25 year old singer/songwriter reworking Hip-Hop Classics by Jay-Z, OutKast, Dr. Dre, NaS and this one from KanYe West. 'Family Business' has always been one of my favourite KanYe songs, but Alfie definitely does it justice by adding his own unique Soul-infused classic style to it and creating a totally fresh sounding track - can't wait to see what he has to offer in 2012. Download the tape HERE.
