Project Alfie - Brief Encounter (Official Video)

Following on from the success of his debut EP, Project Alfie has today revealed the visuals for his new single, which was written alongside The Invisible Men. He reminds me of a cross between Mayer Hawthorne & Jamie Lidell, with more of a Hip-Hop influence, which is basically the dopest mixture ever. Look forward to more from Alfie, who has been in NYC working with the legendary Hitmen production team.

Project Alfie vs. KanYe West - Family Business

Taken me a while to get round to listening to this, but here is my favourite track from Project Alfie's 5-track mixtape, which sees the 25 year old singer/songwriter reworking Hip-Hop Classics by Jay-Z, OutKast, Dr. Dre, NaS and this one from KanYe West. 'Family Business' has always been one of my favourite KanYe songs, but Alfie definitely does it justice by adding his own unique Soul-infused classic style to it and creating a totally fresh sounding track - can't wait to see what he has to offer in 2012. Project Alfie vs. Jay-Z - Dead President's

Here is the lead track from Project Alfie's forthcoming mixtape, The Project Alfie Mixtape (clever ay?), which is set to be released on December 27th. The track sees Alfie sample 'Dead President's' by Jay-Z, whilst adding some of his own unique Soul/Vintage Pop flavour, thus creating a simply superb piece of music. Always worries me when people play with a classic, but this kid has something really likeable about him, and I'll definitely be downloading the mixtape when it drops.
