Rocket Juice & The Moon - Dam(n) (Feat. Erykah Badu & M.anifest) x Poison (Feat. Damon Albarn)

Two of my favourite tracks from Rocket Juice & The Moon's highly anticipated self-titled debut album, which was released this week on Honest Jon's. For those that don't know, this project is  a funk super group, which formed in 2008, and consists of Damon Albarn (Guitar, Keys) of Blur & Gorillaz, Flea (Bass) of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Tony Allen (drums, percussion). Amazingly diverse and unique music - get your copy HERE.

Bluey Robinson - My Love is Your Love (Whitney Houston Cover) (A64)

Bluey Robinson pays tribute to the late Whitney Houston by performing one of his favourite tracks and one of Whitney's most recognisable hits. A very cool cover from one of the most exciting vocalists in the UK.

Charlotte O'Connor - Addicted (Video)

Shot last Winter in her hometown of Blackburn, here is a brand new video from the beautiful and extremely talented singer/songwriter Charlotte O'Connor. As Charlotte explains: "it was written a while ago when I was mad about someone and didn't really want to admit it...". Lovely, just lovely.

Sian Sanderson - Reservoir Rhythms

Solaris2 presents Reservoir Rhythms featuring Sian Sanderson, which sees the young singer/songwriter giving her view on music and playing her track 'Constellations', accompanied by Tommy Hotspur on guitar. I love her thoughts on music, and I equally love her voice - she is also effortlessly cool.

Ruth Anne Cunningham - All You Need Is Love (Acoustic)

After bringing you a live rip of Avicii dropping his version at Ultra this weekend, here is an acoustic version of Ruth Anne Cunningham's original acoustic version. This 23 year-old Dublin-born singer/songwriter has been around for quite some time now, co-writing hits such as 'Too Little Too Late' with JoJo and 'Turn It Up' with Pixie Lott, but 2012 is definitely the year when she will make her mark as a solo artist. This could be a hit single as it is, but the Avicii version is no doubt going to set the world alight.

Yasmin - Suicide

After releasing three singles on Ministry of Sound over the past 12 months, DJ turned singer/songwriter Yasmin is still currently working on her debut album, which has recently changed direction slightly. This track right here is an acoustic version of a song Yasmin penned a while ago, which leaked last night on YouTube - this may or may not make the LP, but Yasmin said that it's definitely one of the favourite songs she's ever written, and I can see why. Deep lyrics, and a song that shows a completely different side to the usually upbeat tracks that we have come to expect.

The Thirst - There She Goes (Video)

Here is the video for the new single from London-based group The Thirst. You only need to know that they’ve already toured with The Rolling Stones & The Sex Pistols, opened up for The Libertines and shared stages with grime legends like Kano & Wiley, to understand that they've got a ridiculous amount of talent, and then some. Funky, soulful and refreshing.

Yasmin - Finally (Kings Of Tomorrow Cover)

23 year old singer/songwriter/DJ Yasmin Shahmir is always one to think outside of the box, and this stripped back cover of 'Finally' by Kings Of Tomorrow is just another example of that. The original was released back in 2000 and for me is one of the greatest House tracks of all-time, but the young Scot showcases her extremely pure vocals, with just a piano and a guitar for company. Free download and a little message after the jump - amazing.

Incognito release 15th studio album 'Surreal' on iTunes

Legendary UK Soul/House group Incognito have today released their 15th studio album 'Surreal' on iTunes, through the brilliant Dome Records. The album comes some 31 years after the release of their debut LP 'Jazz Funk' in 1981, but they still have as much passion as they did then back then for creating beautiful music that is relevant to today and has that old skool edge to it. Get your copy HERE, and check out the single after the jump.

Bobby Womack fighting for his life in hospital

This is not what I wanted to wake up to on a beautiful Sunday morning. BET have today announced that the legendary Bobby Womack has been hospitalised with a bout of pneumonia - fellow music icon Bootsy Collins revealed to fans on Twitter, that the 68 year old singer/songwriter was ailing and asked that fans send their prayers and well wishes to Womack.
