After Beyoncé returned with a stunning GQ shoot earlier in the week, Destiny's Child have now unveiled their first single in 8 years, which is an understated groover produced by Mr. Pharrell Williams. Yes, yes and YES!

A wonderfully refreshing EP from upcoming singer/songwriter Jacob Banks, which features 8 tracks and is available for free download from HERE. His voice reminds of a cross between Michael Kiwanuka & Josh Kumra, with a unique style of his own that pops out on every single track. This is the best thing I've heard so far this year, and will take some beating for some time, I think. Too good.

Not necessarily the 100 BEST songs of 2012, but here is The House Of Coxhead's 100 favourite songs of 2012. I tried to make the list as diverse as possible, but it was hard to get it down to 100 when my 2012 playlist has 8,000+ songs. Probably missed out a couple of glaring mistakes, but this is a fair representation of what has stood out for me over the past 12 months.
