Project Alfie - Brief Encounter (Official Video)

Following on from the success of his debut EP, Project Alfie has today revealed the visuals for his new single, which was written alongside The Invisible Men. He reminds me of a cross between Mayer Hawthorne & Jamie Lidell, with more of a Hip-Hop influence, which is basically the dopest mixture ever. Newton Faulkner - Bricks

'Bricks' is my favourite track from Newton Faulkner's newly released 4-track EP 'Sketches', which is the first release since his sophmore album 'Rebuilt By Humans' in 2009. That album kind of passed me by, but his debut 'Hand Built By Robots' is a modern day classic, and this has me extremely excited for his forthcoming third studio album 'Write It On Your Skin', which is set for release later this year. Adele takes Songwriter award & Ed Sheeran wins Best Song at Ivor Novello's

After sweeping up at the BRITS & The Grammys, Adele was nominated for four awards at this year's Ivor Novello's, taking away two; Songwriter of The Year and Most Performed Work of 2011 for 'Rolling In The Deep'. Ed Sheeran picked up Best Song Musically & Lyrically for 'The A-Team', beating off competition from 'Rolling In The Deep' & 'Shake It Out' by Florence & The Machine. PJ Harvey won Album of the Year award for 'Let England Shake', which was up against Adele's '21' & '50 Words For Snow By Kate Bush'.
