Jameil Aossey - Classy (Feat. Charles Lane)

My favourite track from Soul Unsigned's new compilation album, which is aimed at supporting and promoting unsigned and independant Soul artists. The compilation is amazing, but this track in particular is one of the smoothest joints I have heard for a very long time. You can hear and support the whole compilation HERE.

Häzel - The Mint x Ninety Eight

Two of my favourite beats from The Lost Tapes, which is a 16 track selection from Häzel’s deep catalogue (which includes features from Drake & Slakah). Even though some have been around a while, all of these are previously unreleased, and you can purchase them HERE! One of the most incredibly talented producers I have ever heard - Dilla lives on through this guys music.

Slum Village - Bounce Wit A Nigga

As part of the re-issue of Slum Village's classic album Fan-Tas-Tic Vol 1, there has been a 7" vinyl released, which features this previously unreleased track. Classic SV. Miss these guys.

Ben Westbeech - Summer Mix

Mr Westbeech has been a busy man as of late; finishing his album, doing covers and now recording a Summer mix for our listening pleasure. The mix is full of delicious tracks, from old skool Hip-Hop, to Deep House, to classic Soul/Motown - all my favourite music in one mix really. You can listen/download below and get the tracklist over on Strictly Rhythm's Soundcloud. More new stuff from Ben is on the way, but for now you can enjoy this and read my thoughts of his spectacular second album HERE (label wanted the track taking down, for now - will update when I get the nod).

Zeo Zeonardo - Back Into Time (Feat. Zoe)

Sick video for a big tune from Wolves born and Derby based rapper Zeo Zeonardo. Don't know much about him, but my good friend Baller B just put me onto him and apparently this got its first play on 1Xtra tonight. Production is super fresh, I've got lots of love for the chorus/hook and the lyrics are incredibly emotional for anyone from our generation. I miss being kid. Check his site HERE.

Gramatik - Break Loose x Happiness On A Leash

So, after leaving Cold Busted and joining up with Pretty Lights, Gramatik is back with a new release entitled Beatz & Pieces Vol. 1. As Gramatik explains, "The Beatz & Pieces series comes as a successor to the popular Street Bangerz series which was my first work as a producer. I never really considered these volumes to be albums.  I always looked at them as hip-hop beats on steroids. They are still raw, sample based beats, but with evolved arrangements and wrapped in a fine layer of live instrumentation.  And the reason I started adding live instruments is because I felt that classic hip-hop beats without vocals lose me after two minutes.  I want to keep the listener through the whole track!". This guy is one of my favourite producers in the world, and I believe his sampling style is the most unique and refreshing around right now. He never fails me, and even though I was sad to see him leave CB, this is up to the high standard that I have come to expect from him over the past 3/4 years. Slovenian Hip-Hop beats are cool.

Veks - State Your Mind

Don't know much about this guy and wasn't really feeling him when I first heard his voice, but after listening to the album I was convinced into believing he is the real deal by the sick beats and even sicker deliverance of dope rhymes. He kind of reminds me a bit of Quasimoto - difficult to listen to at first, but if you give it a chance, then you can become hypnotised by the music. Have a listen to the track below and download the album for free HERE.

KanYe West & Jay-Z - Watch The Throne (Tracklist)

Earlier today Jay-Z's Blog revealed the tracklist for his highly anticipated album with KanYe West, Watch The Throne. Beyoncé, Otis Redding & Mr Huson all make appearances and Odd Future member Frank Ocean features on two tracks, which excites me greatly - it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up on G.O.O.D. Music or Roc Nation in the next few years. This is guaranteed to be one of the best albums of 2011 (nice to see they chose to use H.A.M. as just a bonus track). Excited.

01 No Church in the Wild (Feat. Frank Ocean)
02 Lift Off (Feat. Beyoncé)
03 Niggas in Paris
04 Otis (Feat. Otis Redding)
05 Gotta Have It
06 New Day
07 Prime Time
08 Who Gon Stop Me
09 Murder to Excellence
10 Welcome to the Jungle

Wretch 32 - Don't Go (Feat. Josh Kumra)

A super sick video for the third single from Wretch 32's highly anticipated debut album, Black And White, which is out on August 14th. Had the pleasure of meeting these two this weekend and can safely say that they are two of the most down to earth guys I've met for a long time. Hope this does as well as it deserves to.

Pusha T - Trouble On My Mind (Feat. Tyler, The Creator)

Here is the first piece from Pusha's Fear Of God Part 2: Let Us Pray, which will be available August 23rd on G.O.O.D. Music. Production from The Neptunes is on point as always, and the verses from Pusha & Tyler are all huge. Looking forward to this, lots.
