Akira The Don - Babydoll

A really cool video shot in Southend-on-Sea by Dr Aaron Shrimpton (the same guy who did Scroobius Pip's new video) for Akira The Don's latest single, Babydoll. The track is taken from Akira's sophmore album, The Life Equation, which is available on iTunes NOW! Sick lyrics, a super catchy chorus and an uplifting beat - great music. You can also catch a Chilly Gonzales vocal mix below, which will be available on the Babydoll EP that you can pick up HERE.

Drake - Club Paradise x Free Spirit (Feat. Rick Ross)

Drake took to the internet last night and let go of three unreleased tracks for free download. Club Paradise was the first, which sounds like a Thank Me Later cut, but the Rick Ross featuring and 40 produced Free Spirit is massive and sounds like much newer material (maybe a Take Care cut?). There was also a Waka Flocka remix that you download HERE, but the two main pieces are below for your listening and downloading pleasure. I have such a love/hate relationship with this guy.

Kano & Mikey J - Random Antics

OH SNAP, here are the official visuals for the first track from Kano & Mikey J's upcoming mixtape, Not For The A-list. Still one of the best UK MCs out there, this is absolutely ridiculous. Gonna have to listen about 10 times to catch all the punchlines.

Ed Sheeran - Heaven x Swim Good (Radio 1/1Xtra Live Lounge)

After reaching number 4 with You Need Me on Sunday and with his debut album coming out in 3/4 days, Ed Sheeran dropped into the Radio 1/1Xtra studios today to perform his latest single along with two pretty special covers. For Sara Cox and Radio 1 he put his own unique Reggae infused twist on Emeli Sandé's debut single, Heaven, which charted at number 2 behind Wretch 32 a couple of weeks ago. For Trevor Nelson and the 1Xtra listeners he took one of my favourite Frank Ocean songs and absolutely smashed it to pieces - I've seen him perform this before, but he never fails to impress me. You can listen to the two covers below and download all three performances HERE.

Review of the album coming soon...

Rapper Big Pooh - Medicine Man

Lead single from Rapper Big Pooh's upcoming album, Dirty Pretty Things, which is out November 1st. One of the most under-rated MCs around, and this goes hard.

Little Brother reunion, please?

Raekwon & Ghostface x BlackStar - Live @ Rock The Bells

Side of the stage footage of Raekwon & Ghostface tearing up Govenor’s Island on the New York leg of the legendary Rock The Bells festival/tour. Seriously need to get myself to one of these in the next couple of years. Footage of a very sick BlackStar performance after the jump too.

Rizzle Kicks - When I Was A Youngster

YEYAAAHHH! Premiered on Radio 1 earlier today, here is the second single from Rizzle Kicks' forthcoming debut album, Stereo Typical, which you can now pre-order over at HMV. I liked Down With The Trumpets, absolutely love this and have some stuff in my iTunes that makes me very excited for what these two have to offer over the next 12 months. Some people don't seem to 'get them', but I don't think there's much to get - they are two very talented brothers who make incredibly fun and catchy reggae infused Hip-Hop. They are cool, unique and have created a sound like nothing I've ever heard before - I like that. Update: peep the official video HERE.

"Back when I was younger, I wanted to be everything on the planet. Now that I am older, it seems the ambition has vanished!"
