ESK-1 - Keep It Clean x Msg

Two of my favourite tracks from ESK-1's new instrumental album 'Spontaneous Grooves: Episode 02', which is another cool as hell Trip-Hop release from the impeccable Cold Busted. Out July 4th, so get yourself a copy if you like forward-thinking music with an old skool twist.

Gensu Dean - Lo-Fi Fingahz (Instrumentals)

Following on from the success of his debut solo album, Gensu Dean & Mello Music Group are now giving the instrumental version of the LP away for free! The original is proabably my favourite Hip-Hop record of the year so far, and this instrumental version tells Gensu's story in a whole new light and proves that BoomBap is still well and truly alive. Download for free HERE, buy the orignal HERE.

Gramatik vs. The Beatles - Don't Let Me Down 2012

Back in 2006 when he was still rapping, Slovenian producer Gramatik sampled 'Don't Let Me Down' by The Beatles, over which he later recorded lyrics. He has revisited the track again in 2012, removing the raps and adding lots of other live instruments, synths and samples to create a wonderful instrumental Hip-Hop jam. One of my favourite producers in the world for the past few years, he never fails.

Sixfingerz - Love Is All We Are

The latest release on Cold Busted comes in the form of a new full-length album called 'Extra Digits' from Belgian producer Sixfingerz, which is set to drop July 4th. Sick samples, sick cuts and just a generally sick Trip-Hop album from start to finish. Can't stop listening to this track.

Onra - L.O.V.E

'L.O.V.E' is the first track to surface from French producer Onra's debut release on A-Trak's ever-growing and ever-improving label, Fool's Gold. Many people call this guy themodern Dilla, and you an understand why - his obscure samples and the Electronic influences in his old skool Hip-Hop style make for the most wonderful sounding instrumentals.

Calvin Harris & Example - We'll Be Coming Back (Michael Woods Remix)

Dropped during Calvin Harris' recent set @ EDC in New York, here is a high quality rip of the Michael Woods remix of his forthcoming single 'We'll Be Coming Back', which features singer/rapper/songwriter Example. You're going to be hearing this and the original version A LOT over Summer.

Introducing: Evil Needle

French producer Evil Needle is definitely one of my favourite producers out right now. His brand of laid back Hip-Hop cradles me through the low times, the high times and really high times. His beat tape "Mood" is one of my favourite musical purchases of all time and my decision to give him the spotlight is based mostly on how much he impressed me with it.

Rick Wade - Life In The Colony

Legendary Detroit-born producer Rick Wade released his new album this week on his own label Harmoine Park, which is entitled 'Neverending Reflections'. Although the majority of the album has the familar Deep House sound that we have all come to love, it's this instrumental Hip-Hop track that captured my attention and has been on repeat for the past half an hour. Stunning music, simply stunning. Pur-chase.

Juke/Footwork - Mini Documentary (Feat. Da Mind Of Traxman JP)

Put together by Booty Tune, here is a refreshing promotional video for the new album from Traxman, which is entitled 'Da Mind Of Traxman'. Took me about half an hour to work out what was going on, but this is genuinely one of the best things ever uploaded to YouTube - the music is amazing, and the dancing is classic in every sense of the word. Check out the video and the album snippets after the jump - so sick.

Koen - 986 x 993

It's hard to put a label on this Dutch producer and that's definitely part of the reason I enjoy his music. The producer himself chose to tag '986' with 'Bass' '2-Step' & 'Future Beats' and you can hear why as you hear the subtle bongo patterns, intricate snares and gelatinous synth bass come together in perfect harmony. In stark contrast to this is '993' - the laid back and atmospheric production is something that I can definitely see myself cruising down the M1 to, grinning, head nodding and shoulders bouncing. I'm almost overexcited for 'Outputs 3' popping up here on the 27th. You can pre-order now.
