Murkage Dave - Violence In Me (Feat. Jaykae)

We've been posting about the Murkage cartel since 2011 on The House of Coxhead, so to see Dave's progression as an artist during that time has been truly incredible. He's gone from being the frontman of a electronic collective throwing amazing parties in Manchester, to becoming a truly thought-provoking poet, who writes extremely powerful social commentary. His whole new album 'The City Needs... Part Deux' is brilliant and a must listen, but for now make sure you check out this huge collab with Jaykae.

Jeshi - Air Raid (Official Video)

Over the past few years, Jeshi has become one of my favourite rappers in the UK. I love his voice and flow, plus his ability to move across a diverse selection of music, including hip-hop, house, electronia, and more. Make sure you check out his new EP 'The Great Stink', which is brilliant and can be found here. Onwards and upwards.

Erick the Architect - Ambrosia (Feat. Channel Tres)

Over the past few years, Erick The Architect and Channel Tres are two names within the rap world, who have genuinely excited me. They have both worked with a diverse and interesting list of artists, including the likes of Jungle, Honey Dijon, Loyle Carner, and Flight Facilities, to name just a few. They both work across mutliple genres, and have become much-loved within the dance music space. So good to see them working together... 'Ambrosia' is amazing. Listen and download here.

Mick Jenkins - Show & Tell (Feat. Freddie Gibbs)

YES x 100. Two of the most exciting and consistent rappers of the past 10 years hook up for one of our favourite tracks of the year. 'Show & Tell' is an example of two rappers in their prime, riding a beat that is absolutely on point for them both. The whole album is absolutely, and you need to check it out... Mick Jenkins is the real deal for sure. Hip-Hop needs this.

Little Simz - NO THANK YOU (Album Review)

Earlier this month, I tweeted about how 10 years ago I used to do a Top 40 Albums list for my blog every year, and how recently it's felt as though my connection towards new albums just isn't the same. A lot has changed in the world, the music industry, and my life during the past decade...  then a week after my tweet, this album dropped. 'NO THANK YOU' is the first time in as long as I can remember, where I felt compelled to open my laptop and write a few words about what it means to me.

Ocean Wisdom x Maverick Sabre - Uneven Lives

Loving this new one from Ocean Wisdom and Maverick Sabre, which is produced by BreadboyUK. Love the beat, love the hook and love that Ocean is slowing things down and showing us a different side of him as an MC. Can't wait for his next project if this is the direction...

Madlib & Four Tet - Road of the Lonely Ones

A stroke of genius from Mablib, whose collaborative album with Four Tet dropped this week. This is the lead single and my favourite from the project, which plays on a genius sample from The Ethics. Get your copy on wax here.
