Zeo Zeonardo - Settle For No (Feat. Trilla) (Video)

AH YEAH, Zeo Zeonardo has just released some cool visuals for his massive new Trilla featuring track, Settle For No. Production is refreshing, the chorus is super catchy and both boys go in with their verses. Also, it's Zeo's birthday, so head over to his Twitter and wish him a happy bornday.

P.S. Another video cameo for Baller B. He gets about that kid...

Common - Sweet

Sweet is the title, but Common is anything but sweet on the latest single from his forthcoming album, The Believer. My favourite rapper of all-time goes in over another No I.D. produced banger and continues to build the hype for this highly anticipated release. Legend.

Torae - For The Record x Shakedown

Here are two of my favourite tracks from Torae's long overdue debut album, For The Record, which has a line-up that plays host to the likes of DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Large Professor, 9th Wonder, Diamond D and more! The title track is produced by Preemo and Shakedown sees 9th Wonder take care of the beat. One of the best Hip-Hop projects of the year, and you can pick it up HERE.

Rapper Big Pooh - End of an Empire (Feat. Carlitta Durand) x Soul Music/Ballad of the Son (Feat. Darien Brockington)

After being part of a successful group, it can be difficult for members to fully establish themselves as solo artists. However, Little Brother have had no problem in doing this, with 9th Wonder continuing to produce beats for countless heavyweight rappers and setting up his own label, It’s A Wonderful World Music Group. Phonte has gone on to gain huge success with his other group The Foreign Exchange and has this year finally got around to releasing his first ever solo album. Now, it's time for Big Pooh to show the world what he's got with his impressive third solo album, Dirty Pretty Things. Pooh's two previous albums were both great, but this album is a much more cohesive listen and finds him showcasing his incredible lyrical prowess and ability to build stories throughout an entire release.. A must have album, which you can pick up HERE.

Kano & Mikey J - House Of Pain (Feat. Ghetts)

Following his brilliant performance in the first episode of new drama Top Boy last night, Kano has let loose the last piece to come from his and Mikey J's huge Not 4 The A-List series. Premiered earlier in the day on Twin B's show, this Ghetts featuring track is 7 and a half minutes of pure genius. Download below.

Benji B - J Dilla: Gone Too Soon

Benji B yesterday wrapped up 1Xtra's brilliant Gone Too Soon series by paying tribute to both mine and his favourite producer of all-time, the one and only J Dilla. He portrays Dilla's life story beautifully by providing exclusive interviews with Plug 2 from De La Soul, Mos Def, Questlove from The Roots, Common, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes, J.Rocc, Slum Village members T3 and Wajeed, his brother Illa J and his incredible mum, Ma Dukes. There have been many tributes put together since his passing in 2006, but this one in particular allows people to connect with Jay Dee, learn about how he made those beats, what he was like as a person and the legacy he left behind. Forever the greatest to ever do it.

Destruments - Another Caliber (Feat. Has-Lo)

Has-Lo, my favourite find of 2011, continues to impress as he provides the vocals for the new single from Destruments' brilliant album, Surpassing All Others. Nothing but stunning production and dope verses - true Hip-Hop. Pick up a copy of the album HERE.

Rizzle Kicks - Demolition Man x Trouble

Here are two of my favourite tracks from Rizzle Kicks' highly anticipated debut album, Stereo Typical, which was released today on Universal Island. Having released three singles from the album over the past six months there have been many mixed reviews on the duo, with some people hating them and others claiming that they are a breath of fresh air in the UK Hip-Hop scene - me personally, I'm a fan. When I first heard them towards the start of the year I wasn't sure what I thought, but having heard more of their work and being able to listen a lot of the album prior to its release, I can safely say they've got me convinced. They aren't the greatest lyricists in the world, and if you're getting the album expecting it to be a deep and thoughtful listen, then you're going to be sadly disappointed. They make fun rap music, that is easy to relate to, but still has a message. As I've said before, they remind me a lot of Das EFX, who only managed to stay around for a couple of albums, but hopefully these two boys are going to be here for a little longer. Get your copy of the album HERE.

Immortal Technique - Natural Beauty (Feat. Mela Machinko)

Featuring the wonderful Mela Machinko, here is one of my favourite tracks from Immortal Technique's new free album, The Matyr, which was independantly released a few days ago. His music is mainly based around controversial issues in Global Politics, which makes me think of him as a US version of Lowkey, and that isn't a bad thing whatsoever. Real music from the heart. Mikill Pane - Read My Lips (Video)

A really cool and clever video for my favourite song from Mikill Pane's latest release, The Guiness & Blackcurrant EP, which you can pick up on iTunes HERE. You can also read my review HERE.
