Rizzle Kicks - Demolition Man x Trouble
Here are two of my favourite tracks from Rizzle Kicks' highly anticipated debut album, Stereo Typical, which was released today on Universal Island. Having released three singles from the album over the past six months there have been many mixed reviews on the duo, with some people hating them and others claiming that they are a breath of fresh air in the UK Hip-Hop scene - me personally, I'm a fan. When I first heard them towards the start of the year I wasn't sure what I thought, but having heard more of their work and being able to listen a lot of the album prior to its release, I can safely say they've got me convinced. They aren't the greatest lyricists in the world, and if you're getting the album expecting it to be a deep and thoughtful listen, then you're going to be sadly disappointed. They make fun rap music, that is easy to relate to, but still has a message. As I've said before, they remind me a lot of Das EFX, who only managed to stay around for a couple of albums, but hopefully these two boys are going to be here for a little longer.
