Aquilo - I Gave It All

Ahead of their performance at their first ever set  of headline live shows backed by a full band later this month, Lake District duo Aquillo have unveiled the first track to be taken from their forthcoming second EP, expected later this year. With tinges of London Grammar, early Coldplay and even a little Bonobo "I Gave It All" is already up there with the most distinctive new music I've heard this year and adds further fuel to the building fire around one of the most exciting propositions in UK music today.

Coldplay - Midnight (Kygo Remix)

As Norweigan producer Kygo's burgeoning career continues to go from strength to strength, yesterday provided the perfect follow up to last week's annoucement that he had landed his first No. 1 in his home country of Norway, as Pete Tong played out for the very first time, live on Radio 1, the 22 year-old's official remix of the new single from Coldplay; 'Midnight'. For a producer, who 8 months ago almost no one had even heard of, I'd say that's pretty amazing and just another reason why we have a lot to thank the internet for.

Coldplay - Midnight (Official Video)

Dropped yesterday, Coldplay continue to push the boundaries of their sound as they unveil the first single from their highly anticipated and as-yet-untitled sixth full length studio album, scheduled for release later this year. 'Midnight' sees the band once again team up with producer Jon Hopkins and proves Coldplay are unafraid to continue to forge a new musical direction, as they expeirment with a variety of synth based melodies in the absence of the kind of trademark climax their music is so famous for. Job well done.

Stuart Price, better known as Jacques Lu Cont, is back with some new material, which sees the legendary producer put his own unique Electro-House touch to one of the most loved single from Coldplay's latest album. No word on a release date, or if there will be one at all, but this is one of the best Coldplay remixes of all-time.

Coldplay & Rihanna - Princess Of China (Invisible Men Remix)

Coldplay's collaborative single with Rihanna was by no means one of my favourite tracks on their latest album 'Mylo Xyloto', but the Invisible Men have flipped it on its head and given 'Princess Of China' a completely new feel - Rihanna has never sounded so good. Coldplay - Charlie Brown (Dave Aude Remix)

Premiered this weekend on Pete Tong's show, here is Dave Aude's Progressive House remix of the incredible third single from Coldplay's latest album, 'Mylo Xyloto'. Aude doesn't do that much to the original, but adds just enough to make it into a track that will be sure to smash up countless festivals this Summer. No word on a relase date yet.

Vicky Nolan - Don't Panic (Coldplay Cover)

Whilst down in Brighton writing and recording with Chicks With Hits last week, the beautiful Vicky Nolan decided to record a cover of her singing one of her favourite songs of all-time. The Manchester-born songstress took on 'Don't Panic' by Coldplay, stripping it all the way back, with just a piano and her incredibly pure vocals.

Coldplay - 42 (Andre Giant Remix)

Andre Giant takes one of Coldplay's lesser known tracks and transforms it into a tasy little Progressive House number. Not much info seems to be available on Mr. Giant, apart from this and a confirmed slot on Korn's forthcoming remix album. Looking forward to hearing more of his work...
