Ed Sheeran - I See Fire

Revealed late last night via Twitter, Ed Sheeran has written a new track, his first solo effort for 2 years, for Peter Jackson's forthcoming film 'The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug'. On the subject of the folk inspired track Ed tweeted this, "I got the chance to produce and play all the instruments on it apart from the cello. Managed to learn violin for a day, hope you all dig it." Although, the track won't be appearing on his sophmore album, which is expected at some point in 2014, after listening I think you'll agree that it's pretty damn special all the same.

Corinne Bailey Rae - Chains

On the mainly Hip-Hop based soundtrack for RZA's forthcoming directoral debut 'The Man With The Iron Firsts', features this new piece of music from British R&B star Corinne Bailey Rae. The soundtrack includes music from a wide variety of artists such as KanYe West, Wu-Tang Clan, The Black Keys, Pusha T and many more, with production being handled by RZA, Frank Dukes, KanYe West, Boogz & Tapez. The film stars Russell Crowe and will in cinemas (in the US) from November 2nd.

After the announcement that Clement Marfo & The Frontline's 'Us Against The World' was going to feature on the forthcoming FIFA game, EA Sports have today revealed the full soundtrack for one of the biggest video games in the world. As ever, the selection is of an eclectic taste, with music taken from a variety of genres, being pulled together with a theme of positive and sporting influences throughout. Pitbull - Back In Time (Men In Black 3 Theme)

The news leaked last week that latino rapper Pitbull was the man behind the theme song for Men In Black 3, and now here is the audio - it's not very often you see stuff on here that isn't very good, but this was a must post. The track is everything we have come to expect from Pitbull; lyrics that mean very little, a very annoying voice/flow and a very commercially friendly beat, although the sample is pretty cool. The Dubstep section at the end had me in stitches, and I still don't understand why Will Smith didn't do the song, especially after he's been back in the studio with DJ Jazzy Jeff. Oh well, let's hope the film doesn't disappoint.

Plan B - Ill Manors

Premiered just moments ago as Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Record In The World', here is the lead single from Plan B's forthcoming film/fourth studio album 'Ill Manors', which will be Ben Drew's debut as a film director. The film has been described as a "Hip-Hop Musical" and all songs will be performed by Plan B, with the script being based on actual events, such as Drew's home being raided by armed police and a girl prostituting herself to repay a drug dealer. The film is out May 4th, and the album will be out May 7th. Sick.
