No Strings (DJ Jazzy Jeff Remix)
As he begins to finish up the Mazda2 Music Tour, Mayer Hawthorne enlists DJ Jazzy Jeff for a Roller Boogie remix of his one-night-stand anthem. This is what music is all about.

Huxley’s remix of ‘Eat Your Groove’, which is featured on Roy Gilles’ new EP, Jazzy Groove. The whole EP is pretty special, but this remix stands out like a sore thumb. Vocal and progression of the track is simply genius.
Joker’s remix of Gorillaz’ new tune, Doncamatic. Prefer this to the original.
This isn’t your stereotypical Bart B More remix, but I’m still a huge fan of it. Miike Snow’s album still gets regular plays on my iTunes. This song in particular. Wonky bassline.
Here is the track that everyone has been waiting for. The remix of Game Over by Tinchy, which is produced by Ishi; the man behind Written In The Stars and Two Lives. He performed it at the MOBO’s with Giggs, Tinie, Devs & Pro; however Example & Chipmunk are also on this final version. Heard it about 3 weeks ago and now you can all do the same. This is such a massive tune.
Four Tet’s spectacular remix of VCR was released today - 9 minutes of pure genius. This guy is so under-appreciated. His back catalogue is probably the best around for his style of music. If you haven’t heard it, enjoy. If you have heard it, enjoy it again.
Here is a pretty special edit of my favourite ever Drake tune. Deadboy has shown you how a remix/edit should be done. Spotted over at livewireexplainsitall.
Here is the L-Vis 1990 Remix of MJ Cole & Wiley’s smash collaboration, From The Drop. Massive fan of the original, but this Remix is pretty special - got my head doing all sorts of funny things. This will be featured on the EP which (excuse the pun) drops November 1st.
A new Jesse remix is always exciting news. This time he has flipped Garden, which is a tune from the Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Yes, you read that correctly. Sick remix, as always.
Can’t explain how good it is to see Pete Rock & CL working together again. This is fucking unreal. And yes, the fucking was necessary.
With John Legend & The Roots joining forces to propel political songs like Ernie Hines’ “Our Generation” back into mainstream popularity, it was only fitting for J.Period to reunite the group that first sampled Hines’ on their seminal ’92 single “Straighten It Out”—artists from an era when hip hop carried its own social message—Pete Rock & CL Smooth. Back together on wax for the first time in 7 years, Pete & CL are in rare form on “Our Generation (J.Period Remix),” spitting conscious lyrics that remind us of hip hop’s potential to move not only our feet, but our spirit.
