Most of you are probably thinking: “Tom, why are you posting a Trick Daddy song?!” - well when I first saw it I thought to myself: “Ritchcraft, why are you remixing a Trick Daddy song?”. But as he explains, it’s pretty simple, the acapella sounds sick over this old skool beat. Ritchcraft is one of my favourite Hip-Hop producers, and if you don’t know about his work, then I urge you to make the effort and get to know.
Just in time for Christmas; Brodinski comes through with a follow up to his Best Of Everything compilations of electro and hip-hop that hit the web hard back in July. This volume sees the French producer/dj commission some of his buddies such as Bok Bok, Brenmar, Dubbel Dutch, French Fries, J-Wow, Nguzunguzu, Renaissance Man & Wildlife! for 16 club bangers. Some of the tracks aren’t all that, however some are absolutely delcious pieces that would tear up any dancefloor. Below you can hear Brenmar’s remix of Cassie’s ‘Me & U’ and after the jump you can find the tracklist and download link for the whole mixtape. Brodinski is still one of my favourite people within the House/Electro scene.

Public House is the brain child of Finnian Casey (soundcloud), and is a label that is set to blow the house scene apart with its bass driven funk infused tracks. His night Public House (named after the Label) boasts a concerted party ethic set to a backdrop of conscientiously made tunes featuring guest DJ appearances from the cream of underground Techno and House movement. The track below is a remix of my favourite Frank-N-Dank tune, Ma Dukes. As far as House music goes, this is as funky and good as it gets. Excited to see/hear what more they have to bring us in the near future.
Now this is something a bit different. Shawn Lee dons his Ping Pong Orchestra hat for an album inspired by the Hooked On Classics series of the early 1980s. This popular series of albums took well-known classical pieces and gave them a contemporary re-working, mostly adding a disco flavor. Lee throws his new musical twist on the idea, taking 12 favourite classical tracks and squeezing them through the Ping Pong Orchestra machine. The end result is an album that will introduce new listeners to legendary pieces of music, and is set to turn the heads of classical music fans. Below is the ever enchanting Swan Lake.
Suff Daddy (Berlin) and Lefto (Brussels) have re-edited the Charles Earland classic, Coming To You Live, from 1980. Suff Daddy turns the song into a typical Suff jam with sick vocal samples, airhorns and micro korg licks. This is class.
Oyoshe is an Italian beatmaker and he just released a free download, The Re:Mix, that contains 13 remixed tracks. Here is my favourite from the mixtape, which is a reworked version of one of my favourite Das EFX tunes.
