Maverick Sabre - Lonely Are The Brave (Album Sampler)

After following Maverick Sabre closely for the past two years, it's safe to say I'm been rather excited to hear his debut album, which is set to be released on February 6th 2012. Well, now we are one step closer to the release of that album with this sampler that Maverick uploaded to his YouTube channel earlier today. From what I've heard, it reminds me of Plan B's sophmore album (The Defamation of Strickland Banks) but with a lot more soul and heart, which can only be a good thing. Actually can't wait for this.

Maverick Sabre - A Change Gonna Come x Cold Game (1Xtra Live)

During his set at 1Xtra Live in Birmingham last night, Irish-born singer/songwriter Maverick Sabre blessed us with a flawless cover of Sam Cooke's 'A Change Gonna Come' and an exclusive performance of 'Cold Game', which is taken from his forthcoming debut album 'Lonely Are The Brave'. One of the most talented men in music right now - tickets for his upcoming tour available HERE.

Damian Marley - Set Up Shop

Junior Gong took to his SoundCloud last night to post the lead single from his fourth solo album, which is currently untitled. A very dope Dancehall track from my favourite Marley son - he never disappoints.

MRK1 - Bo (Feat. Doctor)

Here is the new single from one of the original Dubstep pioneers, Manchester based MRK1. I love the Reggae vibe and the forward thinking direction he has gone with on this one. Big track, and you can pick up your copy HERE.

Yasmin - Light Up The World (Feat. Ms. Dynamite)

Following her MOBO nomination and a busy summer lighting up packed out festivals, Yasmin is back with her Ms Dynamite featuring and Shy FX produced third single. Set to be released in November, Light Up The World is a Drum & Bass influenced piece of soulful laid back Reggae, and is without doubt my favourite of the three singles thus far. Listen below, and be sure to support when it drops.

Rizzle Kicks - When I Was A Youngster

YEYAAAHHH! Premiered on Radio 1 earlier today, here is the second single from Rizzle Kicks' forthcoming debut album, Stereo Typical, which you can now pre-order over at HMV. I liked Down With The Trumpets, absolutely love this and have some stuff in my iTunes that makes me very excited for what these two have to offer over the next 12 months. Some people don't seem to 'get them', but I don't think there's much to get - they are two very talented brothers who make incredibly fun and catchy reggae infused Hip-Hop. They are cool, unique and have created a sound like nothing I've ever heard before - I like that. Update: peep the official video HERE.

"Back when I was younger, I wanted to be everything on the planet. Now that I am older, it seems the ambition has vanished!"

AH YEAH! Rodney P enlists the help of Jah Mirkle Frizzle, N/A, Big Ben and Logic of The People’s Army for his new single, which is soon to be released on Tru Thought Records. Mighty Mo from Heartless Crew also provides a lovely hook for this massive track.

Slimmah Sound & Lyrical Benji - Live Your Life

Here is a track taken from Firm In Jah, which is the 10th release from the Roots Tribe Record - it is a showcase album that sees Slimmah Sound team up with Lyrical Benjie, who is the resident singer for the critically acclaimed King Shiloh sound system that hails in the Netherlands. Just some laid back Dub music that is perfect for rolling the windows down to when you're driving along in the beating sunshine.

Takana Zion - My Music x Rise Up

Two of my fabourite tracks from Takana Zion's new album, Rasta Government. As with Veks, I'm not to sure about his back catalogue, but this is amazing. Has a real old skool Reggae feel to it, which is a type of music that never fails to put a smile on my face. Capleton features on the lead single, and you can watch the video HERE.

Hollie Cook - Cry (Feat. Horseman) (Disco Mix)

My favourite track from Hollie Cook's self-titled debut album, which was released a couple of weeks ago. One of the most enjoyable Reggae albums of the year so far, with horn infused beats, sharp percussion and stunning vocals throughout. Paul Cook (of the Sex Pistols) has a very talented daughter.
