Frank Ocean - Swim Good (Live in London)
Here is Frank Ocean performing one of his most well received tracks at a special gig @ XOYO in London last night, which was his first ever performance in Europe. I love this guy - 2:33 > the end = a moment.

Everyone seems to be posting the same two tracks (Take Care x The Crew) from Drake's highly anticipated sophmore album, Take Care, which is set for release on November 14th. However, I can't stand the title track with Rihanna, and I think these two are by far and away the most enjoyable pieces of music on the album. Amazing to hear Stevie on the harmonica again and André 3000's verse is nothing short of spectacular, as always. Even though I've always been a huge Drake fan, I didn't like Thank Me Later and still wish he hadn't signed to Young Money, but saying that, Take Care is his most cohesive body of work to date and I'll definitely be supporting him when it drops next week.
Earlier today the first two tracks surfaced from Amy Winehouse's first posthumous album, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, which is set to be released on December 5th. 'Like Smoke' features Amy's (and many other people's) favourite rapper Nasir Jones, and 'Our Day Will Come' is a stunning cover of the Ruby & The Romantics' classic, which was apparently recorded all the way back in 2002. You can listen to 'Like Smoke' below and listen to 'Our Day Will Come' over on the Sky News website HERE. Sorely missed.
"Winehouse’s third album of previously unheard tracks, entitled Lioness: Hidden Treasure, will be released on December 5th They include three cover versions, her duet with Tony Bennett, Body & Soul, recorded in March this year, and a collaboration with New York rapper Nas. A donation of £1 from the sale of each album will go towards the Amy Winehouse Foundation – the charity set up in her honour."
This song has been floating around the internet for a while now, but last night the CDQ copy of Frank Ocean's latest piece hit the internet, which is produced by Dapo. A top track from one of the most exciting talents in the world right now. Excited for his new EP.
Here is my favourite track from Geordie duo Smoove & Turrell's new double A side single, which includes two pieces that are lifted from their smashing sophmore album, Eccentric Audio (released earlier this year). Considering the amount of talent these two men possess, both seem to have had quite understated careers, but it seems together they have found a simply untouchable chemistry. Hard Work sounds like it's come straight off a Motown dancefloor and provides me with some much needed classic head nodding and foot tapping R&B. Available on November 28th.
DAMN! After dropping a couple of new pieces of music over the past few months, here is my favourite track thus far from the extremely talented singer/songwriter, Josh Kumra. Most of you will know Josh from him featuring on Wretch 32's hit single, Don't Go, but if his album is going to be better than this, then I think it's time for people sit up and appreciate Mr. Kumra as an artist in his own right. Have we found Britain's answer to Anthony Hamilton?
Probably because André 3000 was never going to be in the video for the original version, B decides to bring in J. Cole to drop a verse on the official remix for my favourite track and the next single to come from her 2011 release, 4. I love this woman more than words can describe.
Here is my favourite track from Lalah Hathaway's sixth studio album, Where It All Begins, which was released yesterday on Stax Records. Being the daughter of the legendary Donny Hathaway meant that she had a head start on most when it came to natural talent and quality guidance/advice, but Lalah's refreshing vocal tone and incredibly hard working ethic has allowed her to become one of the most well respected female R&B vocalists over the past 20 years. An amazing track, from an amazing album, from an amazing lady. Pick up your copy HERE.
One of my favourite tracks from Joe's new album, The Good The Bad The Sexy, which is set to be released October 18th. Awful cover, awful title, but if you like R&B that's all about love and sex, then I'm sure you'll be a fan of the album.
Produced by Babyface, here is the stunning lead single from Anthony Hamilton's currently untitled new album, which is set for a December 13th release. One of the most talented, consistent and under-rated Soul/R&B artists of the past 10 years. Can't wait for this one.
