Angie Stone - Do What You Gotta Do
Unexpectedly, Soul legend Angie Stone drops off some new music, which is the first track we've heard since her 2010 release 'Unexpected'. This has got that classic Angie sound, and has me excited for a new album.

Not a huge fan of Usher's electro-pop style, especially after he dropped 'Climax' earlier this year, but he clearly loves it and there is no way of getting away from that. Swedish House Mafia are legends though, and it seems as though they have actually created a wonderful Progressive House track here for the R&B superstar's forthcoming album - they also produced another track called 'Numb', which will be on the album too.
Spotted over @ We Are SME, here is the first official remix of the new Stooshe single, which sees Show N Prove add a more funky and upbeat groove to the track, whilst Smiller offers up another killer verse. Big.
And the remixes of Usher's 'Climax' keep coming, with ZHU this time taking it down a chilled out Progressive route, which suits the vocals down to a tee. Can imagine this version slotting into most people's Summer playlists perfectly. Free download.
Uploaded to YouTube yesterday, here is the new single and title track from Bobby Womack's forthcoming album 'The Bravest Man In The Universe', which is set to drop June 12th on XL Recordings. The production is entirely handled by Damon Albarn and Richard Russell, and if this is anything to go by, then it could well be one of the albums of 2012. One of the greatest artists of all-time - great to hear that he's recovering from his recently revealed illness. Top class.
Featuring his wonderful daughter India, 'Muzik' is one of my favourite tracks from R&B crooner Eric Benet's forthcoming album 'The One', which is set to drop June 5th. Eric has been one of the most consistent male vocalists over the past 16 years, but this could well be one of his best releases to date - dope production, beautiful lyrics throughout and just jam after jam. Can't wait for an EP from India.
Following on from their hit single 'Love Me', girl group Stooshe are back with the visuals for their new single 'Black Heart'. Not gonna lie, I really love these girls. Out June 10th.
Any new Omar is good news, but new Omar with a band the calibre of the Hidden Jazz Quartett is great news. The sax-driven jam oozes funk and will be released on June 1st with a more uptempo Lack Of Afro remix, which you can also check out after the jump. Great track.
After getting its world premiere on Mistajam's show the other night, David Stewart has tonight dropped off the visuals for the lead single from his forthcoming debut solo project 'Late Night Viewing'. The free album features Example, Ed Sheeran, Yasmin & Wretch 32, is dropping tomorrow around midday and the first review in the world will be on this site right here. Big.
Uploaded 10 months ago, but only brought to my attention today by the guys over at BamaLoveSoul, here is DJ Spinna's head-nodding remix of Marvin Gaye's classic 'Mercy Mercy Me'. There have been countless remixes of the R&B/Soul legends tracks over the years, but this is most definitely up there with the best. Seems like nobody else knows about it either, so enjoy, and share.
