Produced by Hans Solo & Jonas Cook, here is my favourite track from the newly released Pro Era mixtape 'PEEP: The aPROcalypse', which for those who don't know, is the crew of Hip-Hop starlet Joey Bada$$. Everyone knows about Joey's talent from his 1999 tape, but it's really nice to hear that he's backed by a crew with solid rhymes, flows and beats. Download HERE.

Seeing as though every man and his dog is doing a 'Sound Of 2013' list this year, I thought it was only right that The House Of Coxhead gives you some people to watch out for in the new year, who I believe have all the elements to become stars of the future. The list is 10 acts strong and covers a (quite) diverse range of music, including Hip-Hop, Soul, House & R&B. Up and coming NY rookie Joey Bada$$ becomes the latest artist to appear on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show as he delivers a flawless rendition of 'Waves', taken from his debut mixtape 1999. This kid is very special.

Earlier today, New York native and hip-hop heir Joey BADA$$ dropped some incredibly cool visuals for his track "Waves", one of my choice cuts from his recently released mixtape 1999. The Freddie Joachim-produced track is a sublimely cool demonstration of his talent, and sits comfortably amongst an incredible selection of tracks. Lost a bit of faith in hip-hop in the last 12 months or so, but this guy (who, as a sidenote, is only 17) is bringing it proper. After blowing up the internet with the extravagantly raw 'Survival Tactics', 16 year old Brooklyn-based rapper Joey Bada$$ has today finally dropped his highly anticipated debut mixtape '1999'. Below are two of my favourite tracks, which are produced by Freddie Joachim & Lord Finesse, with other beats on the tape being provided by the likes of MF Doom, Chuck Strangers & J Dilla. Yesterday, 17 year old Brooklyn based rapper Joey Bada$$ gave fans another taster of his upcoming LP '1999', which is due to drop June 12th, by unleashing new track 'Hardknock' complete with visuals. The track's beat sampled from Lewis Parker's 'Eyes of Dreams', it provides a laid back instrumental for Joey to go in over as we witness him once again prove just how talented he truly is. While he may not go in quite as hard here as he did in 'Survival Tactics', the track that made him a viral success, Joey none the less manages to an engender an old school Hip-Hop feel that is rarely felt these days and confirms all suspicions that he's a very special talent. Watch out for this kid, something tells me he's only going to get better.
