Huxley - Madatme

Huxley is best known for his groovy Deep House releases, however his new EP, Heidi's Frustation, sees him dabble in a few other genres. On this track he goes all funky old skool Garage on us, and for me it suits him down to the ground. He is one of my favourite producers in the world, and this just proves why.

Artful Mark - Could Just Be The Bassline Pt. 2 (Feat. Kal Lavelle)

Many of you will have heard this a few months ago with the vocals of Ed Sheeran on it, but due to problems with the labels, Mark Hill (the original Artful Dodger) has had to draft in Ed's current support act to re-vocal the track. I didn't think that anyone would be able to do it to the level that Ed did, but Kal's soothing Irish tone sounds perfect over the groovy laid back production. Beautiful stuff.

Toddla T - Take It Back (2 Bears Remix)

The production duo who were behind my favourite remix of Ben Westbeech's new single have put their hand to the lead single off Toddla's upcoming 2nd studio album. Massive summer vibes. You can pre-order the EP here.

Jess Mills - Vultures (MJ Cole Remix)

Jess Mills became well known to most after her appearance on the stunning Breakage single, Fighting Fires. Her new EP features remixes from Photek and Nu:Tone, but it's the 2-step garage re-work from MJ Cole which stands out for me. Get your copy HERE.

Garage Vol 1

The other day I brought you an old skool soulful house mix from Baller B, but now it’s time to bring it back to the present and give you something that was recorded earlier today. With help from Lucas The Beatbox on the tracklist again, this is a massive 22 minute mix of some classic garage anthems, which you probably haven’t heard for years. This is pretty much the set he played in Manchester at the afterparty, and it sounds as good now as it did then. You can listen HERE and hit the jump to find the tracklist and download. Benjamin has smashed it, again.

Wookie? - Down On Me
Wookie? - Battle (Feat. Lain)
Sia - Little man
Ramsey & Fen - Love Bug
Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood (Ed Case/Sweetie Irie Refix)
Colour Girl - Joyrider (Y-Tribe Underground Remix)
Shanks & Bigfoot - Sweet Like Chocolate
The B15 Project, Crissy D & Lady G - Girls Like Us
Sweet Female Attitude - I’ll Bring You Flowers
DJ Dee Kline - I Don’t Smoke

Live

Here is the new single from London based soul singer KCAT, who many of you will remember from the 2008 hit single, My Destiny. This sees KCAT teaming up with (man of the moment) Mike Delinquent once again to create a garage track that has all the right elements to become a modern day classic. 2011 is a very exciting year for both of these, and I’ll be backing them all the way. Live.

Disappear & Power On Me

Here are two of my favourite tracks from Katy B’s debut album, On A Mission, which will be released on April 4th. I was excited to hear it, but didn’t expect it to be this strong - she sounds amazing on every single track, no matter whether it’s over Garage, House or Dubstep. The production is flawless and she is just a breath of fresh air to the scene. I need to see her live this year and will definitely be getting a copy of this when it’s available. One of my favourite releases of the year so far - bravo Miss B.

Finish Line

Here is Mike Delinquent’s remix of Yasmin’s 2nd single, Finish Line, which will be available to buy on May 8th. Garage is well and truly alive - I’ve listened to this about 15 times today. One of the best remixes I’ve heard for a very long time. Mike is a top guy with a ridiculous of talent and there is a lot more to come from him in 2011 - follow him on Twitter.

Mr. Zinc putting his own unique twist on one of my favourite singles from 2010. Aloe Blacc is one of the coolest men in music. Big remix.
