Drake - Take Care (DJ Cable Edit)

The ever impressive DJ Cable comes through with a spinna friendly edit of Drake's latest single, Take Care, which features Rihanna and samples Gil-Scott Heron/Jamie XX.

"As you know, the ladies love that “Take Care” joint, but in all honesty it’s a bit too mellow; especially when it comes to dropping it in the middle of a set.

I’ve basically added some 808s and the Think break, sped up the tempo a little bit, and given the arrangement a quick shuffle. The tune ends on a loop of the Gil Scott-Heron sample.

The end result is a slightly beefed up version, with a DJ friendly intro."

ManOnWire - In Search Of... Brown Sugar... (D'Angelo Tribute)

With D'Angelo's eagerly awaited return not too far away, ManOnWire flips the R&B crooner's iconic single 'Brown Sugar' on its head. The first half is nice and has the head-nodding qualities of your typical ManOnWire production, but half way through sees an Electronic switch-up that will blow your head off your shoulders. This is from another planet.

Skrillex - Breathe (Krewella Vocal Edit)

Following the instrumental that hit the net last week, upcoming girl group Krewella lend their vocals to Skrillex for a track that looks like it's going to feature on an album entitled 'Voltage'. No word on the release date, but this has all the elements to be a hit single.

After bringing you the SBTRKT edit of this track a couple of days ago, here is a stunning remix from New Zealand sister duo MayaVanya. Much prefer this over the masked magician's version, and can imagine it sending a club wild. Love.

Kid Vibe - Dipped Honey x Pillow Talk

Here are two of my favourite tracks from the first release on a newly formed label called Cold Bites. They are a re-edit, remixes, mash up style label whose releases will be available exclusively at Junodownload - the artists will be taking classics (sometimes hidden gems) and putting a modern day electronic twist on them, whilst still keeping the soulful and funky elements that made them hits all those years ago. Adam Port is a tech-house producer/DJ from Berlin, and has taken my favourite track from their mixtape and made it into a groovy jam that wouldn’t sound out of place in any club.
