Juke/Footwork - Mini Documentary (Feat. Da Mind Of Traxman JP)

Put together by Booty Tune, here is a refreshing promotional video for the new album from Traxman, which is entitled 'Da Mind Of Traxman'. Took me about half an hour to work out what was going on, but this is genuinely one of the best things ever uploaded to YouTube - the music is amazing, and the dancing is classic in every sense of the word. Check out the video and the album snippets after the jump - so sick.

After passing away on November 8th 2011, many artists have come together to pay tribute to Heavy D in a documentary entitled 'Be Inspired', which is taken from the late rapper's final tweet on the same day that he passed. The 40-minute documentary is an incredibly touching insight into the life of one of the nicest and most loved men in Hip-Hop, with words coming from Big Boi, Will Smith, Cee-Lo, Queen Latifah and many more. The film also includes coverage of his funeral in Mount Vernon, along with the original score by Jazz legend George Duke. Amazing.

Real Scenes: Berlin

Real Scenes: Berlin from Resident Advisor on Vimeo.

For the third edition of Real Scenes, Resident Advisor and Bench go to one of the most special places for electronic music in the world: Berlin. When the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, techno became the underground soundtrack to the reunion between East and West. In recent years, it's become an international destination for ravers - a cheap place to party with clubs that are renowned throughout the world. Techno has become a business in the meantime, yet Berlin still maintains a credibility that other cities lack. To understand why, RA and Bench went to the German capital eager to find out about its unique history and the reasons behind its continued relevance. Visit the feature page on Resident Advisor. Sick mini-documentary.

Trailer for the upcoming film/documentary about one of the all-time great recording artists. As is rightly stated in this trailer, Roy is one of the forerunners of the marriage between Jazz and Hip-Hop - if you don't know about Roy, then you need to get to know. Can't wait for this one.
