Just been sent this new video from Shir Khan & Exploited, who have dipped their toes into the world of disco edits with the launch of new label Black Jukebox, which sees contributions from label regulars Homework as well as introducing the Hamburg axis Doctor Dru & Adana Twins into the fold. Doctor Dru&Adana Twins lead the way with this slo-mo housed-up boogie-soul joint. Video is amazing, and is everything I love about House music. Smiles all round.
Here is a new mix and probably my final one for the Summer seeing as though there are only 15 days left - how depressing! Minus a few groovy vocal tracks in the middle section, this is a lot more upbeat/techy and commerically friendly than my usual mixes - you should know a lots of tracks in this one. Thanks again for all your continued support, reaching 250,000 hits on Sunday was madness. Had to upload it to Hulkshare because my SoundCloud account is full, but it still does the same job. Hope you all enjoy this, and enjoy the last of the summer rain.
@LoukiaC on the cover, btw - probably my favourite to date.

OH BABY! Victoria's finest have come together to launch the Melbourne Deepcast imprint, proving that there is much more to the city than just great coffee. The first release is a beautiful four track EP that features these two gems from men who are under different aliases. First up is Lewie Day, who is probably better known to the record buying public as Tornado Wallace - Lewie drops this immensely soulful mid-tempo groove, 'Some Kind O Man', which is a sample-heavy house jam that brings together all the elements that I love about House/Nu-Disco. On the B-Side there is some highly anticipated new stuff from Fantastic Man (aka Mic Newman), who brings 'From Start To Finish', which sounds like a snug fit for the 6th Borough Project back cat. One of my favourite releases of the year so far.
A mix with a message, and easily my favourite mix to date. My mixes are usually for people who just love House music, but this one is open to lovers of House, Disco, Soul, Motown, Funk, Hip-Hop and Spoken Word. This is a representation of my music taste and is my main mix for the Summer. Please download, listen and spread the word (only if you like it of course). Much love, as always.

My favourite track from the full-length debut Clap Rules album, which was released last week on Bear Funk. Clap Rules is the pseudonym of Fabrizio Mammarella, Andrea Gabriele and Max Leggieri, who all have a deep love for vintage equipment and recording techniques; they mix this up with a fresh modern approach to concoct electronic music with no boundaries. Sounds like something from the 60s/70s that has been recorded in 2030 - so much funk. Disco is still alive.
Here my two favourite tracks from MANIK (NYC)'s debut full-length release, Armies Of Night. The New York City born producer has gained recognition from some of the biggest names with his discography boasting music releases on the world's best underground imprints, like Josh Wink's Ovum, L.A based Culprit, Steve Bug's highly praised Poker Flat, and the almighty Hot Creations- run by Lee Foss and Jamie Jones. It's hard to put MANIK in a specific genre, but Disco, Funk & Acid mixed together is the best I can come up with. Listen to these and make up your own mind - groovy.
Polish duo Catz N Dogz have fast become one of my favourite production teams in the music world during the past few years - over the past 12 months in particular, everything they have released has been nothing short of spectacular. Their remix of the new Friendly Fires single is no exception, revamping the original into a House/Disco smash hit that would get any dancefloor shaking. Had this on repeat all day. Groovy. Here is Cool Million's super funky remix of Beverley Knight's lead single from her upcoming album, Soul UK. The album will be her seventh studio album and is a tribute to her favourite UK soul artists - it is due for release in the on June 24th. My parents raised me on this music - I think she has done Junior proud.
Atfunk is back with a fresh nu-Disco track that sounds like it's come straight from the 70s - with so much funk and soul, this is something that I would expect to stumble across in my parents vinyl collection. Two dope remixes from Timewarp Inc and Trotter are floating around too. Big summer tune.
Jamie Jones & Lee Foss have teamed up to provide a smashing remix of DJ T & James Teej's new collaborative release, Sense, which was released today on Get Physical Music. This track oozes talent, and lots of funk. Get your copy HERE.
