De La Soul - Vocabulary Spills (Prod. J Dilla)
De La Soul are back with a brand new project, and what a project it is. The legendary Hip-Hop group are set to release 'Smell The Da.I.S.Y.' on March 26th, which celebrates the life and legacy of James D. Yancy aka J Dilla. HIP-HOP.
De La Soul - Get Away (Feat. The Spirit Of Wu Tang)
De La Soul come through with some ever impressive and ever unique visuals for their new single, which features 'The Spirit' of fellow Hip-Hop legend Wu-Tang Clan. Love this, a lot.
Spin Doctor - Brakes Is High (De La Soul Tribute Mix)
De La Soul's Plug 1 & Plug 2 Present First Serve - We Made It
Produced by Chokolate & Khalid, here is my favourite track from De La Soul's Plug 1 & Plug 2 present First Serve album. A very cool project, which drops tomorrow - pre-order HERE.
Slum Village - Dirty Slums (Mixtape)
Mick Boogie has today dropped off the highly anticipated new mixtape from 'Slum Village', which features guest appearances from legends such as Rapper Big Pooh, De La Soul, Phonte, Phife Dawg, as well as newer artists such as Black Milk & Big Sean. Nothing will ever bring Dilla & Baatin back, but this is a very sick and well put together project, which is a must hear for any SV (Hip-Hop) fan. Download HERE, check out two of my favourite tracks out after the jump.
De La Soul's Plug 1 & Plug 2 Present First Serve - Move 'Em In, Move 'Em Out (Live @ BBC 6 Music)
Dave & Posdunos perform their First Serve single at BBC 6 Music's studios in celebration of their 10th anniversary. Album drops April 2nd - can't wait to see them at Parklife.
Slum Village - Turning Me Off (Feat. De La Soul)
Mick Boogie & Young RJ add some James Brown flavour to 'Turning Me Off', which paves the way for the legendary De La Soul to go in over the top of it. This is the first track to be taken from the Slum Village (T3) mixtape 'Dirty Slums', which drops March 27th. Sounds like it's going to be amazing.
DJ Shadow - Stay The Course (Feat. Posdnuos of De La Soul & Talib Kweli)
Spotted over at SKOA, here is the latest piece to surface from DJ Shadow's upcoming fourth studio album, The Less You Know, The Better, which will feature collaborations from Talib Kweli, De La Soul's Posdnuos, Little Dragon, Afrikan Boy and Tom Vek. Judging from this it sounds like Shadow is back to his best, but I will save my judgement for when the album drops on September 27th. For more info check HERE.
