Also given its first spin by Annie Mac tonight is a new single from Ben Westbeech, on his newly formed label Naked Naked and under a new(ish) alias called Breach. Love everything that Ben turns his hand to and the Breach material is certainly no exception. Massive track from one of my favourite singers/producers.
My favourite track from Ben Westbeech's sophmore album There's More To Life Than This, which was released today on Strictly Rhythm. Produced by Chocolate Puma, this piece of funky/soulful House is just a sample of what you can come to expect from one of the albums of the year. Buy HERE and read my review HERE.
Here is some footage from Ben Westbeech's launch party for the upcoming sophmore album, which is set to be released on September 12th. Read my review HERE - still one of the best albums of 2011.
Here is the video for the second single and one of my favourite tracks from Ben Westbeech's forthcoming sophmore album, There's More To Life Than This. You can pre-order the single HERE and pre-order the album HERE. One of the best albums of the year.
Next Thursday (28th July), The Loft on Kingsland Road plays host to Ben Westbeech's launch party for the upcoming album, There's More To Life Than This. The gig is free, so if you're in and around London then there is no excuse for you not to pay a visit between 7pm-Midnight and listen to one of my favourite albums of the year so far. You can download the flyer for the event HERE and read my review of the album HERE. Gutted I can't make it down; however, you will be able to catch the event on the Boiler Room if you're in the same situation as me.
Mr Westbeech has been a busy man as of late; finishing his album, doing covers and now recording a Summer mix for our listening pleasure. The mix is full of delicious tracks, from old skool Hip-Hop, to Deep House, to classic Soul/Motown - all my favourite music in one mix really. You can listen/download below and get the tracklist over on Strictly Rhythm's Soundcloud. More new stuff from Ben is on the way, but for now you can enjoy this and read my thoughts of his spectacular second album HERE (label wanted the track taking down, for now - will update when I get the nod).
Deetron’s remix of Ben Westbeech’s stunning new single, Falling - this is my personal favourite from a very strong EP that I highly recommend you go and purchase. So much groove.
Yesterday one of my favourite singles of 2011, Falling by Ben Westbeech, was released on Strictly Rhythm and is the first single from his overdue new album, There’s More To Life Than This. His soulful, sweetly sung vocals ride insistent, percussion-driven and disco-tinged production by Lovebirds, the alias of Hamburg resident Sebastian Döring. The result is an impressively stylish, surprisingly catchy song that’s as satisfying to hear on headphones, at home or through a car stereo as on a club soundsystem. To celebrate the release, Ben’s label, Strictly Rhythm are giving away an iPod complete with the labels entire back catalog and a podcast featuring a chat and mini-mix with Ben himself. You can watch the official video HERE, buy the single HERE and you can hit the jump to hear more about the label and find all the info you need to enter the competition.
GOOD LUCK!

One of my favourite tracks from Nu:Tone’s upcoming 3rd studio album, Words & Pictures, which will be released tomorrow on Hospital Records. This beauty features female vocalist Sophie Paul, and is everything that I love about this genre. Early contender for best D&B album of 2011.
Visuals for Ben Westbeech’s latest single, Falling. One of the most under-rated artists in this country. This has a definite Jamiroquai feel to it. I love it.
