Yasmin - Finally (Kings Of Tomorrow Cover)

23 year old singer/songwriter/DJ Yasmin Shahmir is always one to think outside of the box, and this stripped back cover of 'Finally' by Kings Of Tomorrow is just another example of that. The original was released back in 2000 and for me is one of the greatest House tracks of all-time, but the young Scot showcases her extremely pure vocals, with just a piano and a guitar for company. Free download and a little message after the jump - amazing.

Extra Curricular - Unaware

This features my friend and current UK beatbox champion Ball-Zee performing as part of the West Yorkshire based group Extra Curricular. This is an acoustic cover of 'Unaware' by Allen Stone that does full justice to the quality of original. If you get the opportunity to see them live then you definitely should, their website should keep you abreast of their movements. Hehehehe...abreast.

Ed Sheeran - Drunk x Empire State of Mind (Live Lounge)

As part of Fearne Cotton's special Brit Awards week on Radio 1, Ed Sheeran dropped into the Maida Vale studios this morning to perform his latest single and a mystery cover of a track from a previous Brit winner. Following an ever-flawless rendition of 'Drunk', the 20 year-old singer/songwriter decided to take on the Jay-Z & Alicia Keys' monster collaboration 'Empire State of Mind', putting his own unique soulful twist on it and absolutely smashing it to pieces. This was Ed's first live lounge with a full band (Chris, Mark & John), and for me it was his best to date. Listen to/download both performances after the jump - Slumdon Bridge has had 120,000+ downloads in less than 24 hours. Bawse.
