Premiered last night on Mistajam's show last night, here is the official remix for Plan B's latest single 'Lost My Way', which features a guest verse from Wu-Tang & Hip-Hop legend Raekwon. Hate the word epic, but this really is epic on so many levels. Get the single and pre-order the album HERE.
Sick. Taken from the forthcoming 'Wu Block' album, Sheek Louch & Ghostface Killah do exactly as the title states and trade places by going in over each others classics. The album will see Wu-Tang Clan and The Lox join forces, with the project being anchored by Face & Sheek.
Sampling the classic 'C.R.E.A.M' by Wu-Tang Clan, here is a stunning new Deep House track from the relatively unknown entity that is Claptone. Released yesterday on Exploted, this is the first club anthem of 2012. Get your copy HERE.
Using a sample from one of my favourite Wu-Tang Clan tracks, here is a massive Drum & Bass grinder, which is available on Mr Alf E's new EP, Wu-Tang. Pick up your copy HERE - must have.
Sampling the classic Mathematics by Curtis Mayfield, here are some cool visuals for the latest single from Raekwon's fifth studio album, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang. The Chef never disappoints. Get your copy HERE.
Spotted over @2DopeBoyz, here is the video for Method Man's new single, which sees the Wu-Tang legend hook up with Sour Patch Kids, a popular confectionary brand in America. Some people may think it's a bit weird, but this is Meth, forever pushing the boundaries. Here is what he has to say on the project: "I'm excited to be collaborating with Sour Patch Kids and telling the story of how they’ve gone all wrong. I love the steps that the brand is taking to keep it real and interesting, the whole campaign, and letting Meth be Meth—brilliant." Out on iTunes NOW.
Novemember 13th will mark the seventh anniversary of the death of Wu-Tang/Hip-Hop legend, Ol' Dirty Bastard, who sadly passed away two days before his 36th birthday in a recording studio owned by his first cousin and fellow legend, The RZA. To celebrate his work, and the impact he had on the genre, his classic debut album is going to be re-released as a deluxe box set. Spotted over @SoulCulture (via @RR), hit the jump to find out more.
Side of the stage footage of Raekwon & Ghostface tearing up Govenor’s Island on the New York leg of the legendary Rock The Bells festival/tour. Seriously need to get myself to one of these in the next couple of years. Footage of a very sick BlackStar performance after the jump too.
Here is something a little special, and something that has been in my iTunes for a good few years now, but still seems to be a rare piece of Hip-Hop history (although it can be found on a few sites if you know where to look). Back in 1991 the Clan was just another Hip-Hop crew that were doing the rounds with this demo tape before releasing their debut album, which went on to be an all-time classic. Back then they were a 5-piece group, which consisted of RZA, Ghostface, ODB, Inspectah Deck and Raekwon. The lyrical prowess of the Wu was clear for all to see almost two decades ago though, and RZA was streets ahead of any producer in the game. Unfortunately the tape is extremely poor quality, but it's definitely worth downloading - treat it more as a collectors item. The image above is the original Wu-Tang logo, designed by Allah Mathematics - it’s not known for sure whether or not it was intended to be the tape’s cover art, but it’s quite possible. This demo tape was released on cassette only, on the unofficial tip, and has been circulating the Hip-Hop scene for quite some years now. Below is the ORIGINAL Bring The Ruckus - download the tape HERE.
