Just when you don’t think things can get any better - Miss Durand decides to pop up with an absolute gem. Produced by Magnedo; (who did a lot of work on Carlitta’s Way “The Prelude”) ‘How I Feel’ is everything I expected, and more. Carlitta’s soothing vocals work in perfect harmony with the uplifting piano beat, creating the most beautiful sound I have heard for a long time. She is my favourite new-ish female artist and I am really looking forward to her album.
A concept instrumental album, by Shy Guy, based on the theme music from the James Bond Movies. Another example of a Hip-Hop producer thinking outside the box. I really enjoyed this. ‘From Russia With Love’ was a personal favourite.
Talented, cool and humble. 3 things that are rare to find in one person.
Watch, listen and learn.
EMOTIONS!
“Not to flex, but to protect my neck like the Wu-Tang”
‘Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty’ is gonna be well worth the wait. 3 OutKast songs on the album (WATCH) - SEEYA!
Big. Huge. Enormous. Gigantic.
This is Mixtape is everything a Mixtape should be. A lot of people have been moaning and complaining about how long El Che has taken to be released, but if you want to hear a brilliant album, then you need to understand that it will take time. The majority of these tracks would make it onto most people’s albums. I have seen Rhymefest live twice and I have always said he is one of my favourite MC’s and that ‘Blue Collar’ was massively under-rated - I still believe this. I think everyone will be astounded by El Che, but for now; here’s one of the best Mixtapes I have heard in a long time. You can hear a track called ‘Letter’ featuring John Mayer below and get the link for the mixtape HERE.
One of my favourite songs of 2010. He reminds me of Bobby Womack. Cool video too.
I can’t wait for the album. Stones Throw are doing big things this year.
A cover of Maxwell’s ‘Pretty Wings’ by a young girl named Perri Jones.
This gave me goosebumps. Huge talent.
