A very thoughtfully put together piece of music that will feature on Bloody Tadi’s upcoming EP, Cheen Cheen Bitches. It will be released on Busted Beats, which is a new sub-label of my pals Cold Busted. This lovely bit of Electro-Funk will be available on February 9th.
Oh look, it’s another Cold Busted release. Oh, and guess what? Yep, it’s as amazing as ever. This is everything I love about Hip-Hop instrumentals, and more. Cold Busted is still my favourite label in the world and this is just one of the many reasons why. You can have a Blue Peter badge if you guess the samples. Out February 2nd.
Cold Busted is a label you will see me supporting more than any other on this Blog, and there is one main reason why - in 2010 they have genuinely been the best record label in the world. Mixing elements of Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, Dubstep and Dance, they have created a unique and authentic sound that is EVERYTHING I look for in music. Here is a new track from Bobby C Sound TV that will be featured on his debut album, Future Past, which will be released on February 16th. Mince pie for the person to guess the sample first.
Here is a track taken from 80s Casual’s latest 5 track EP, Volume 2. This optimises everything that Cold Busted is about. Musically, they are streets ahead of any other label at the moment.
WOIIIIIIIIIIIIII!! Christmas time is well on its way and here is something to get you started. It’s a track by Brandon Bass & Curiosity that will be featured on the above album, which is going to be released on December 1st by the Cold Busted family. Think of Christmas classics mixed with Hip-Hop/Trip-Hop/Dubstep. This is genius. My favourite label of 2010.
Gramatik’s remix of Vitamin D’s ‘No Love For Hard Times’, which will be featured on the Hard Times Remix album that is going to be released on September 15th. Not even funny how good the material is that Cold Busted are releasing at the moment.
Wat Happened is a track taken from 80s Casual’s upcoming album, One Night Stand, which will be released September 1st on Cold Busted. I seem to have found myself saying this a lot this year; but this is genuinely one of the best albums I have heard in a long time - it’s just spectacular. The fusion of funk, soul, hip-hop, trip-hop and house make for the most beautiful sound and sums up everything that Cold Busted is about. Could have posted any of the 19 tracks from the album, but if you like what you hear then make sure you support good music when it drops.
Remix of JK Soul’s new single The Music, by the brilliant Spaceflight Orchestra. Expected to be released August 11th on one of my favourite record labels; Cold Busted.
