Zo! - This Could Be The Night (Feat. Eric Roberson, Darien Brockington & Phonte) (Tall Black Guy Rmx)
Tall Black Guy, one of my favourite underground producers, takes on Zo!'s jam 'This Could Be The Night', which will feature on The Foreign Exchange's forthcoming 'Reworks' album. So SO smooth.
The Foreign Exchange - So What If It Is
The Foreign Exchange return with a fresh new single, which sees Nicolay & Phonte go down a more Soulful House route and is very reminiscent of Incognito in parts. Everything these guys release is flawless, and this is no exception. Download HERE, taken from the forthcoming '+FE Music: The Reworks' remix compilation.
MIke P - Move Groove
Lifting a sample from 'Nic's Groove', a track on The Foreign Exchange's debut album 'Connected', here is my favourite piece from MIke P's new EP on Tastie Music. The original is one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite albums ever, and this is a wonderful version that can fit perfectly into my sets. Get your copy HERE.
Phonte - Sendin' My Love
So yeah, whilst everyone is raving on about Cole World leaking, this is the Hip-Hop album that I've been been excited to hear most this year. For those of you who don't know who Phonte is, he was 1/3 of Little Brother and is 1/2 of The Foreign Exhange, but Charity Starts At Home sees 'Te go solo for the first time in his career. Not many artists can claim to have a flawless discography, but Phonte does; he has this incredibly unique ability to go from creating the most soothing R&B music to spitting some of the most ferocious bars you are ever likely to hear, with consumate ease. Hit the jump to see the tracklist, enjoy this Stro Elliott produced track and pre-order HERE.
Charity Starts At Home is everything I love about Phonte in one album.
Charity Starts At Home has beautiful verse upon beautiful verse.
Charity Starts At Home has an eclectic selection of features.
Charity Starts At Home has the most stunning production.
Charity Starts At Home has real subject matters.
Charity Starts At Home is Hip-Hop perfection.
Phonte - Good Fight
Following the Elzhi featuring lead single, here is another piece of 9th Wonder produced music from Phonte's debut solo album, Charity Starts At Home. Most people are excited for September 27th because of Cole World, but I'm just as (if not more) excited for this release, from one of my favourite artists of all-time. FE all day baby.
Median - The Sender
Speaking of under-rated rappers, here is a new joint from Median, who has hooked up with his legendary mate 9th Wonder. This guy has been around for a LONG time now, featuring on albums from The Foreign Exchange, Little Brother and Jean Grae, but he's been quiet for a while and is back with a bang. So much love for this track - if anyone knows the sample, please let me know.
The Foreign Exchange - All The Kisses (Feat. Amber & Paris Strother of KING)
Some new Foreign Exchange is always nice - some new free Foreign Exchange is even nicer. All The Kisses sees them team up with Amber & Paris Strother of KING, to provide an ever beautiful piece of Soul music that will feature on their upcoming live CD/DVD 'Dear Friends: An Evening With The Foreign Exchange'. Available on June 28th, but this is up for FREE download.
The Foreign Exchange - The Last Fall
Out of the blue, here is a new video for one of my favourite tracks from The Foreign Exchange’s 3rd studio album, Authenticity. Phonte and Nicolay never disappoint with anything that they release, and this is no exception. Amazing stuff.
Beautiful visuals for my favourite track from Zo!’s 2010 release, SunStorm. Foreign Exchang
