The Warehouse Project announces New Years Eve line-up

The guys over at The Warehouse Project have today announced the line-up for their 2011 New Years Eve party, which is set to be a special one as it's the last to be held at the legendary Store Street venue. Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac is the headline act, with support coming from her good friends Fake Blood, Jaguar Skills, Riva Starr, Doorly, Mistajam and more. Early bird tickets are £25 and normal ticket prices are £32.50. You can find the full line-up HERE and get your tickets HERE. New Years Eve is my birthday, so I need to make a decision soon about where I'll be spending my 22nd...

DJ Sneak - Can't Wait Another Day

The most enjoyable track off the latest EP from DJ Sneak, and this time it comes courtesy of Riva Starr's label Snatch!, which is growing in popularity with every release. His unique sampling style/choices, groovy vibes and general outlook on making music have made Sneak become one of my favourite House producers over the past 12 months. Buy on Beatport NOW!

Butch - Ice Cream

A massive new release from one of the most consistent House producers out there. Released on Riva Starr's label, the EP is available now on Beatport and has two smashing remixes from Adam Port and Amir to accompany the original.

A genius vdeo to promote the upcoming EP from Phil D’Bit & Sebastiano Sedda, which will be available on Riva Starr’s Snatch! label sometime in February. Have a feeling Mr. Starr is going to have a BIG (busy) 2011. Have watched this video 5 times already and can’t stop smiling.

U Know

Here is a snippet of Jet Project’s new track, which was released yesterday on Riva Starr’s record label, Snatch! Sampling the Donell Jones classic ‘U Know What’s Up’, this is one of the best House tracks I’ve heard for a very very long time. Got my copy off Beatport before, and you should probably do the same.

Percolator (Riva Starr Remix)

Two weeks ago I posted the CVS remix, but this is the one that I’ve been waiting for since hearing it live. Riva Starr has put his own twist on Cajmere’s classic, which has taken dance floors across the world by storm this summer, 17 years after it was originally released. It’s time for the Percolator.

Percolator (Claude Von Stroke Remix)

The story behind this track is just amazing (read about it after the jump). All the remixes are out on Beatport/iTunes on August 30th. Can’t wait to hear the Riva Starr’s effort - sounds massive live.

Some tracks just never fade. When Curtis Jones (aka Cajmere, aka Green Velvet) dropped “Percolator” in 1992, few would expect this bouncy booty house number would survive past a few novelty plays that summer. 18 years later and the cut has thrived across the dance music spectrum—from Detroit techno parties and European raves to Chicago juke gigs and B’more blowouts. Back in 2003, Jones gave his classic hit a few remixes of his own. But 2010 marks the first time other producers have laied legitimate hands on the stems. So now there’s versions by Major Lazer, DJ Chuckie, Claude Vonstroke, Riva Starr, Bad Boy Bill, Mixin Marc, DJ Gantman and Cajmere himself.

Grabbed from URB.
