1 billionth download single sold in UK

According to the data collected by the Official Chart Company, the one billionth digital single was bought late last night in the UK. Since digital downloading took off in the UK in 2004, sales have exploded from around 500,000 a week to more than 3 million each week. In 2012, digital singles sales reached new heights with 188.6 million tracks sold – beating 2011’s record-breaking total by a further 6%. Frank Ocean announces London gig for July

R&B superstar Frank Ocean has today announced he will be reaching London in July for a gig at XOYO on the 9th, with tickets going on sale at 9am on Friday 5th April. Although the tickets are priced at £35, I'm pretty sure these will sell out fast, which will no doubt mean extra dates are added.

Pharrell set to feature on Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories'

News broke today that R&B/Hip-Hop superstar Pharrell is set to feature on three tracks on the more than highly anticipated comeback album from Electronic God's Daft Punk. The album is called 'Random Access Memories' and will be released May 21st on their own imprint Daft Life Limed. With the news already in that Nile Rodgers is heavily involved, I have no doubt that this will be worth the wait.
