Laidback Luke vs. Example - Natural Disaster (Nouveau Yorican Remix)

Here is Nouveau Yorican's smashing remix of Laidback Luke's first release on Ministry Of Sound, which is the final remix to come from a rather impressive official EP. For those of you who don't know, Nouveau Yorican is a duo made up of Laidback Luke himself and Gina Turner - they are signed to Defected Records and their aim is to produce original material/remixes that have a modern interpretation of Latin-inspired New York House. I've loved all of their work thus far, and this is no exception - definitely the version I would be dropping in my sets. Pre-order HERE.

NTFO & DJ Optick - From The Trenches

Here is my favourite track from Romanian duo NTFO & DJ Optick's debut release on one of the most exciting up and coming House labels around, Gruuv. Reboot dropped this at Sankeys on Saturday night and the place went absolutely mental. Get your copy HERE.

A1 Bassline - Buoyancy

After a number of well received EPs on his own label over the past 12 months, A1 Bassline has just released his debut single on Claude Von Stroke's impeccable label, Dirtybird. I used to be a huge fan of A1, but have started to lose to touch with his material as I've slowly lost interest in Bassline/Electro music; however, this release is stunning and is definitely the sound that CVS is into at the minute. Hopefully this will widen his audience and is the direction that he is going to go with in the future, because it's a huge look. Get your copy HERE.

Mosca - Bax

Late pass. Released two weeks ago on Numbers, here is the incredible B-side on Mosca's new single, Done Me Wrong. Can't believe I missed this one, and I've got to give a huge thank you to Ace for introducing it to me on 1Xtra earlier today - speed Garage at its very best. Get your copy HERE.

Bugz In The Attic Present: Homecookin - Keepin It Up x Bring Some

Bugz in the Attic is a collective of DJs/Producers based in West London, who are prominent in the broken beat scene - the collective includes Orin Walters (Afronaught), Paul Dolby (Seiji), Kaidi Tatham, Daz-I-Kue, Alex Phountzi (Neon Phusion), Cliff Scott, Mark Force, Matt Lord, and Mikey Stirton. The group has a label, BitaSweet Records and also runs its own Co-Op club night at Plastic People in Shoreditch. As well as that, they have released numerous singles, remixes, compilations and their debut album, Back in the Doghouse, which dropped in July 2006. However, their new album, Do What You Wanna, is on a whole other level and is something you should definitely think about picking up if you're into Soulful House, Funk or Break-Beat. Miguel Migs - Everybody (Feat. Evelyn "Champagne" King)

Miguel Migs has just released his third album, Outside The Skyline, which is a follow up to his 2007 release, Those Years. The album follows in the footsteps of his two previous releases, bringing together sounds and influences from a wide variety of genres and cultures; in this case, early soul, dub, jazz, reggae, funk, disco and house. As Miguel explains, “I take inspiration from everything around me. Its not about trends or what’s fashionable, its about creative expression, quality, emotion and artistic integrity.” - I love that. Showcasing an extraordinary line up of creative and internationally renowned artists – Migs’ reputation is such that, when it came to recording Outside The Skyline, he was able to pull together some impressive collaborators including original disco diva Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King, reggae legends Capleton, Half-Pint and Freddie McGregor, first lady of musicianship Meshell Ndegeocello, Berlin based singer Georg Levin and bossa nova phenomenon Bebel Gilberto. Below you can hear the stunning track with Miss King and buy what is one of the best House releases of 2011 HERE.

Crazy P - Wecanonlybewhoweare x Heartbreaker

Here are my two favourite tracks from Crazy P's upcoming fifth studio album, When We On, which is set to be released September 19th on 2020 Vision. The group was originally formed in 1995 by Chris Todd and Jim Baron, but expanded in 2002 by introducing bassist Tim Davies, percussionist Mav Kendricks, and vocalist Dannielle Moore. To put it simply, they are bloody amazing - their sound is based around funky basslines, stunning vocals and deep grooves, which together makes for the most stunning Deep House/Nu-Disco music you could ever wish to hear. Pre-order HERE, and read more on the album after the jump.

Laidback Luke vs. Example - Natural Disaster

A big video for the euphoric collaborative single from Laidback Luke & Example, which will be released on October 16th. As well as featuring on Example's massive No.1 album, Playing In The Shadows, this will also act as Laidback Luke's first release on Ministry Of Sound since signing to the label last month - a great choice, if you ask me. Pre-order HERE.
