Reebok launches Reebok Radio
Reebok have today announced the launch of their first ever radio station, Reebok Radio. They will be kicking things off at The Parklife Weekender on June 10th, before embarking on a 5 month UK tour. The show will be presented by Goldierocks and will feature exclusive music, music and interviews with special guests such as Benga & Benj Boko.
Reebok Radio launches at this year’s Parklife Festival in Manchester on Sunday June 10th before embarking on a 5 month UK Tour of major city residencies throughout 2012. Reebok Radio will be recorded and streamed live on the second weekend of each month from an interactive, pop-up street level radio station. Featuring an in-depth program of live sessions from groundbreaking and emerging artists, interviews, exclusive mixes and profile DJ appearances. Reebok Radio will initially be broadcast live on youth lifestyle title RWD online, after which audio and video content will be available on RWD.com, MixCloud and all of Reebok Classics social network platforms.
Reebok Radio will be anchored by ‘voice of the underground sound’ Goldierocks who will present a 5-hour program from each city, featuring specially selected new music and an insight into who’s hot in emerging talent. The show will also feature guest slots from a local radio faces and Reebok Radio’s afterparty headline acts. Additional exclusive content will include after show party ticket competitions as well as cool merchandise to be won from the latest 2012 Classics range.
Official Reebok Radio afterparties will be held after each show, in conjunction with partners including Clash Magazine, Crack Magazine, Chibuku and Metropolis, hosted at the coolest urban spaces in Liverpool, Bristol, Glasgow and Leeds. The tour culminates in an exciting London finale, set to feature a very special friend of the brand.
Other featured artists will include Benga, Benji Boko, Tricity and Caan who will all provide exclusive content and live footage. Having these up and coming acts on-board underlines Reeboks Radio’s commitment to promote grass roots talent.
