Donna Summer, The Queen of Disco, dies aged 63

Donna Summers, the Queen of Disco music, has today passed away at the age of 63 following a long term battle with cancer. TMZ have reported that Summer was in Florida at the time of her death and that the singer was trying to keep the extent of her illness under wraps. Apparently she was working on a new album that was set for release later in the year, but will be best remembered for her iconic 70s classics such as 'Last Dance', 'Hot Stuff' and 'Bad Girls'. Another legend gone too soon.

Delta Heavy - Get By (Gorgon City Remix)

In the run up to the release of Delta Heavy's highly-anticipated Down The Rabbit Hole EP, Gorgon City (comprised of producers Foamo and RackNRuin) add a wonderfully dark bass-inflected vibe to its lead single "Get By". The player below's got the Beatport link, and you can grab the original EP on May 28th on RAM. Love.

Roberto Rodriguez - Lies (Feat. Max C)

Featuring Max C on vocals, here is my favourite track from Roberto Rodriguez's new album 'Dawn', which is the latest release on Serenades. Max's vocal is spot on and suits Roberto's pure House sound down to the ground - would advise any music lover to get their hands on this album. BUY!

Soul Button - Shadows

'Shadows' is the title track and my favourite from the new Steyoyoke release, which comes courtesy of the pretty anonymous artist, Soul Button. There seems to be very little information on the producer, but if he carries on making music to this level, he can be as anonymous as he likes. The vocal is absolutely amazing, as is the guitar. BUY!

Groove Armada - Stevie Latenight

'Stevie Latenight' is my favourite track from London-based production duo Groove Armada's new EP 'No Knock', which is the latest release from Hypercolour. The EP still has some of the familar elements that we have come to expect over the past 15 years, but generally sees the legendary group go down a different and more relevant route. This could have been a train wreck, with people saying they are trying too hard to be cool, but it's genuinely one of the most enjoyable EPs of the year so far. Buy HERE.
