Spotted over @RWDMag, here are some cool visuals for Random Impulse's new single, which features cameos from Ed Sheeran, Professor Green & Wretch 32. As you can see from the live clips, the chorus on this one is incredibly easy to remember - the Wakestock crowd loved it. Got a lot of time for this guy and his music.
My two favourite tracks from Mz Bratt's new mixtape that was released for free yesterday. There aren't that many female MCs that excite me, but Bratt definitely does - she sounds fresh on any genre of music. You can download the mixtape HERE and watch the official video for Speeding HERE.
Some cool visuals for Lewi White's monstrous new single, which you can now buy on iTunes, HERE. You can also see Yasmin doing an acoustic cover of Rihanna's What's My Name @ Somerset House HERE.
Here is the highly anticipated single from Lewi White, which has taken over Twitter for the past two weeks and was given its first spin on Mistajam's show tonight. Lewi is a legend of the Grime scene and has drafted in an all-star line-up to create this monster, which is nothing short of incredible. Big production, next level bars and a super catchy hook/chorus. Out on July 10th - pre-order HERE.
Some sick visuals for the new Magnetic Man single, which features the King of Grime, P Money. Heard this for the first time @ Radio 1's Big Weekend, and it sounds even bigger now than it did then. Look for a release on Sony in the next few months.
My favourite track from Wiley's new album, 100% Publishing, which will be available on Monday. I like the idea of having no features on there, and on the whole it's a pretty good listen, but nothing spectacular.
Here are my two favourite tracks from P Money & Blacks' collaborative mixtape, Blacks & P, which was released yesterday on iTunes and is currently sitting top of the Hip-Hop/Rap chart. Not many Grime artists excite me, but P Money does and I find it refreshing how he has embraced Dubstep and created a whole new sound that cannot be touched by any other MC - Blacks is the perfect partner in crime for him too, spitting solid bars from start to finish. Get all 21 tracks right NOW, you won't regret it.
Another free download from Wiley, which I believe will be on his mixtape with DJ Whoo Kid. Not his greatest piece of work and the hook is a bit annoying, but it's cool all the same.
Beatboxers/vocal percussionists are best known for their live performances and usually find it difficult to create a solid discography for themselves - Rahzel probably has the best, and even his isn't that impressive. Over the past few years Faith SFX has fast become the go-to-man when it comes to beatboxing in this country and has just dropped his highly anticipated debut album, Man Or Machine, which boasts a tracklist that is nothing short of spectacular. Upon clicking play I didn't really know what to expect, but I have to say that I love every single thing about it - he has drafted in the very best MCs in Grime and UK Hip-Hop to create an album that showcases everything positive about the Urban scene right now. Below are two of my favourite tracks - every MC on the album does their thing, but Wretch & P are the two that stood out for me (Cykologic deserves a mention too - never heard of him, but he blew me away). Genuinely one of the best albums of the year so far - get your copy HERE.
Following on from her Zinc and Katy B features last year, Ms. Dynamite has teamed up with Labrinth for her comeback single, Neva Soft. Showcasing both her singing and MCing talents, this is the Dynamite that I used to love. Spotted over @ Soul Culture.
