BOOM! Here is the title track, and my favourite track, from Florian Blauensteiner's new EP, which is the 10th release on the ever impressive German-based Klasse Recordings. A stunning vocal, deep grooves and a funky bassline = perfect House music. Pick up your copy HERE!
After a number of well received EPs on his own label over the past 12 months, A1 Bassline has just released his debut single on Claude Von Stroke's impeccable label, Dirtybird. I used to be a huge fan of A1, but have started to lose to touch with his material as I've slowly lost interest in Bassline/Electro music; however, this release is stunning and is definitely the sound that CVS is into at the minute. Hopefully this will widen his audience and is the direction that he is going to go with in the future, because it's a huge look. Get your copy HERE.
Sampling the classic Nuthin' But A G Thang by Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg, here is the stunning new single from Berlin-born producers Daniel Dexter & Nhan Solo. Released on Off Recordings, you can now pick up your copy HERE - remixes come from Luca Lozano, Sacha Robotti, Andre Crom and Martin Dawson. Huge track.
Bugz in the Attic is a collective of DJs/Producers based in West London, who are prominent in the broken beat scene - the collective includes Orin Walters (Afronaught), Paul Dolby (Seiji), Kaidi Tatham, Daz-I-Kue, Alex Phountzi (Neon Phusion), Cliff Scott, Mark Force, Matt Lord, and Mikey Stirton. The group has a label, BitaSweet Records and also runs its own Co-Op club night at Plastic People in Shoreditch. As well as that, they have released numerous singles, remixes, compilations and their debut album, Back in the Doghouse, which dropped in July 2006. However, their new album, Do What You Wanna, is on a whole other level and is something you should definitely think about picking up if you're into Soulful House, Funk or Break-Beat. Get your copy HERE.
Here are my two favourite tracks from Crazy P's upcoming fifth studio album, When We On, which is set to be released September 19th on 2020 Vision. The group was originally formed in 1995 by Chris Todd and Jim Baron, but expanded in 2002 by introducing bassist Tim Davies, percussionist Mav Kendricks, and vocalist Dannielle Moore. To put it simply, they are bloody amazing - their sound is based around funky basslines, stunning vocals and deep grooves, which together makes for the most stunning Deep House/Nu-Disco music you could ever wish to hear. Pre-order HERE, and read more on the album after the jump.
The title track and my favourite track from Luca Lozano's new EP, which will be available to purchase September 6th on Klasse Recordings. Some proper old skool vibes from one of my favourite House labels.
"WHAT IT IS!"
So, Summer is officially over, and it's now time to start the countdown to Christmas. To start that countdown, here is the first post-Summer mix from myself, which includes a few of the biggest tracks from the past couple of months alongside some new beauties I have discovered recently. The idea for the title and cover came to me the other week, and the mix itself is definitely one of my favourites to date, so I hope you enjoy it as much as me. Listen below, catch the tracklist after the jump and download HERE x
An alternative K&S Deep House rework of Kraak & Smaak's new single, Let's Go Back, which features the vocals of legendary electronic producer and singer Romanthony. This is a free download, but the rest of the EP went on sale today, and you can get a copy HERE! (I prefer this to all the other remixes and the original, but shush, don't tell anyone)
The most enjoyable track off the latest EP from DJ Sneak, and this time it comes courtesy of Riva Starr's label Snatch!, which is growing in popularity with every release. His unique sampling style/choices, groovy vibes and general outlook on making music have made Sneak become one of my favourite House producers over the past 12 months. Buy on Beatport NOW!
