I often feel like I was born in the wrong generation, but when I hear music like this that has clearly been influenced by many different eras and exqusitely spliced together I am happy that we don't just have to go the opera to hear new music. This is an absolute skankers, looks like I need to start looking a bit more closely at French music to see which other gems are lying in wait. Enjoy.
It is very rare that (aside from classical music) something without distinctive bounce, heavy bass and headnodability can move me as much as this has. Jessie Ware's voice glides naturally over this languid beat and the outcome is perfection. Beautiful.
